3/10/08 Sunday Wrap-Up

PokerStars Sunday Million

It was a very memorable Sunday for PokerStars as their weekly event drew an incredible 7,349 players. In total the event accumulated a nearly $1,470,000 prize pool. Even more exciting than this was the number of name players who were still in the tournament during the late stages.

With 18 players remaining, pros Robert “who’s bad” Mizrachi, Vivek “psyduck101” Rajkumar, Brian “tsarrast” Rast, and recent FTOPS VII Main Event winner “Reverse” all remained. It was very fast and skillful action, as the players all fought for the $207, 241.80 first place prize. Despite all the top pros remaining, in the end ‘tpir90036’ defeated Kometen1 in heads up action to take down the weekly title.

Final Table Payouts:

1.) tpir90036 – $207,241.80
2.) Kometen1 – $104,355.80
3.) tsarrast - $73,490
4.) Gullars85 - $58,792
5.) JEUX D PLAGE – $44,094
6.) psyduck101 - $32,335.60
7.) gabyhorowitz – $22,781.90
8.) NabtheAce – $13,228.20
9.) Reverse - $8,671.82

Full Tilt Poker $750,000 Guarantee

There is some controversy surrounding this event as results are unclear concerning who in fact won this event, or if it was canceled or crashed before heads up play. The tournament was going as scheduled up to and including most of the action at the final table. Player bust outs have been reported until the 3rd place position, but the results are incomplete and the tournament has disappeared in the Full Tilt Poker lobby. Another online scandal? We aren’t sure right now, but stay tuned as new details on this situation come in.
