PPA Issues Statement on SDNY Actions to Freeze Payment Processor Accounts

A statement issued today by the Poker Players Alliance discusses recent actions by the Southern District of New York to freeze payment processor accounts containing pay-outs from online poker sites. According to the statement, federal agents have issued seizure warrants to at least 2 US banks and subpoenas to a payment processor, alleging violations of the Wire Act and Illegal Gambling Business Act. The PPA states that 24,000 poker accounts have been directly or indirectly affected by the SDNY's actions. Please join the PPA today and support their efforts to protect our rights.
