Big shout to all my domain brothers out there. Read Dutch Boyd's blog about how Pokerhost is trying to jack him for Pokerhost.net. Now this isn't a cyber-squatting issue - Dutch has owned Pokerhost.net since before Pokerhost.com was up and running. Dutch registered the domain name (along with a few hundred others) to capitalize on the emerging poker market, and in this writer's opinion Pokerhost has zero claim to it. Fight the power Dutch! In other domain news, read this alarming article just posted on Gambling911 by Mr. Costigan himself. It looks like the state of Kentucky working somehow with Godaddy is seizing the domain names of Cake Poker, Doyles Room, UltimateBet, and many others. You guys are very lucky that I have a substance abuse problem and browse the internet all day. That is because I find gems like Videopokertable.net and then get their creators on this fine internet radio show that you can also podcast. (click the NWP Radio tab, you'll find it) I spoke to Andrew the other day and he agreed to come on the show and tell us a little more about the table, when we can get one, and how it works. If you haven't watched his front page video you should. It is fucking sweet. Everyone knows I'm addicted to the Excalibur's full digital poker table, so it was refreshing to see Andrew's take on where the technology and the oldschool come together.

Today the Kahnawake Gaming Commission confirmed something that most of us already knew, that Russ Hamilton was the main perpetrator of the Ultimate Bet superuser cheating scandal. The KGC puts the number somewhere around $60M. In this writer's opinion, when Russ Hamilton failed to show up for the WSOP this year it was like admitting his guilt. A former WSOP main event winner not in jail and still liquid would never miss the WSOP... unless he had recently jacked all those guys for millions. I wonder where he is now and if we will ever see him again.

In my line of work, nothing shocks me anymore. I was recently approached by a very well known professional poker player that has decided to remain anonymous, and she or he told me that they were huge fans of NWP's very own Jewdonk and wanted to stake him. Terms were agreed upon, money has been sent to Jewdonk, (I have acted as an intermediary or "money proxy" to facilitate protection of the SP) and here is the official rail and Jewdonk report thread. One thing is for certain -- Ultimatebet was and still is run by dishonest scumbags, and they don't deserve anyone's business. In my opinion, it is highly unlikely that those cheated -- myself included -- will ever get fully paid back what was stolen from us.
