The Borgata Poker Open will begin on September 3rd and finish on September 18, 2008. The first tournament will be a $300 + $50 NL Hold’em tournament. Thereafter, buy-ins will range from $500 through $5000, and will mainly be NL Hold’em. This year they have thrown in $300 Limit Hold’em and $300 7 Card Stud tournaments as well. The Main Event will follow, and is the $10,000 Buy-In WPT Borgata Poker Open Championship. It will take place from Sunday, September 14th through Thursday, September 18th. The Borgata is guaranteeing $5 MILLION PRIZE POOL FOR CHAMPIONSHIP EVENT.
On-Site Registration for All Events begins Monday, September 1, 2008. The first 2 days you will be able to register in the poker room, and the following days you will be able to register in the Event Center. You’ll obviously need a valid ID and a Borgata Card to play in any of the events. A Borgata card can be obtained the day that you arrive, or you can apply online by creating an account at http://www.theborgata.com.
