Stupak has been hospitalized since Saturday, said Sandy Blumen, who has two children with Stupak. He died at 1:15 p.m. Friday. You don't often get something for nothing here, but tongiht's radio tournament features a great value $150-added PLO8 tournament on Pokerstars.

xmrstyle_wsop.JPG

Big shout to my boy Scott "xmrstyle" Bohlman. He finished 58th in the main event out of over 6400+ entrants for over $100k. Every single night he was in the main event, there was a raging party in his house, and this was the key to his success imo. I truly feel that by drinking his beer and playing on his ping pong table I helped contribute to his deep run in the main. Scott Bohlman, you're welcome, and I expect a 15% tip or so, just like you do a waitress or bartender. Mini-shout to Reggiman and Tommyboy83 who also dropped it like it was hot in the main, but xmrstyle was the hottest! GG / GL / Nice tilt / they are all chasers.

So the World Series of Poker has over all been run well, just as it was last year, with a few exceptions. First off Steve, Bob, and the rest of the floor personnel and dealers have done pretty damn good this year. They have an almost impossible job to do perfectly, and they came real close to perfection. Now Harrah's management could have done better. Jeffrey Pollack has a tough task, and makes 1000's of decisions about the WSOP, and we here at Neverwinpoker are here to point out the ones he got wrong.

1) No WSOP event should ever be capped, especially the Main Event. Players should never be shut out of any WSOP event. They are open events to determine a world champion, and when someone is shut out that is directly against the spirit of the World Series of Poker. Rumors I've been hearing say that TJ Cloutier, Karina Jett, Patrick Antonious, Hollywood Dave, Mickey Applemen and 100's of others were all shut out holding $10k in their hands at the cage. Mickey Applemen played 30-something straight WSOP Main Events until this year. Shameful. Here is a solution, and yes it costs $. The players pay Harrah's a few millions dollars to run the biggest poker tournament of the year. Open up that room right next to Amazon, the one where the Gaming Life Expo thing is, hire dealers and buy tables for 2 days. Find a bigger facility if need be, but no matter what get seating for 9,000. This year, you should have taken alternates until 10pm if you had to. There were tables broken all the way into Amazon by the end of the night, start players w/30k chips at 150-300 if you have to.

2) While at the Fresh Market Buffet a rude manager came up to me and 9 others while dining in the Diamond section (sickbrag). He rudely asked us if we pushed tables together to make such a large party (we didn't). Then he said that parties of 6 or more have to pay a mandatory 15% gratuity. FOR A FUCKING BUFFET. He then demands we pay $38 in cash immediately, right in the middle of our meal. I explained to him we just put $100k in action of which Harrah's just keeps $5k or so. He then said that if we had put up that kind of money we wouldn't mind the $38. Had Druff been present there would have been bloodshed. Jeffrey Pollack - please inform F&B to pretend to give a shit about us, just like you do for your other high limit gamblers. You are cheapening the WSOP brand by treating the players like shit. Against the spirit of the WSOP, Benny Binion is rolling over in his grave cursing both Harrah's and Becky.

3) Give NWP a press pass. We are the bad boys of the poker media, but 50,000 degenerates can't be wrong! We are part of the poker world. Like it or not, we are part of it. Ask Nolan Dolla. It's an outrage that we are denied a pass. Because we have an uncensored poker forum and call them like we see them we are denied a pass. Totally against the spirit of the World Series of Poker.

Ok so this Twitter thing is really catching on. So much so that there is a Micon impostor on Twitter! twitter.com/bryanmicon is the real Micon. I needed to post this to set the record straight and prove to Twitter that I'm the real me. Fake Micon has rolled up quite an impressive following, almost double real-Micon as of this posting. I'm sure he had an amazing rolling planned for the future. Sorry we won't get to see it. In other news fellow marijuana lover Asher Roth's new album drops today, and I just know this kid is going to blow up to legend status, even though he is pretty much already there with the College hit. :sweetblog and listen up to NWP Radio this Wednesday where we will have a special guest or two.

layne_no_highfive.jpg

Check out this post in the NWP forums, where you can listen to the audio file of Drexel & I calling the City of Las Vegas Detention Center and figured out why Layne Flack missed his match today at the NBC Heads Up Challenge. Turns out the short answer is DUI and other assorted driving mishaps. I'm caulking this one up to karma, as we recently saw Layne in the now famous Raw Vegas video of him playing golf with none other than super-scammer himself Russ Hamilton.

Now that brings me back... The David Williams foot-fetish porno... a simpler time indeed, a thread that was retired to the Hall of Fame long ago became relevant again today when Perez Hilton dropped this story with an NWP link in the footer (lulz)! It appears that former Danity Kane member and current Playboy model Aubrey O'Day watched the now infamous David Williams porn with her parents and promptly broke up with him as a result, according to "The Junkies" radio show. Obv Gambling911 was all over the story as well, and big shout to Missing MaryJane for playing forum footsie, dropping the story on NWP.

So once again Neverwinpoker got the shit end of the stick when it comes to being a credentialed member of the poker media during the WSOP. We don't get a spot on the Amazon room floor to put a laptop, and we can't take any pictures inside the Rio and my endless awesome hours of flip-video will never see Youtube. I spoke to Scotty Nguyen about his monkey that escaped and is either dead or still running around Spanish Trails. I could have video'd him talking about how his baby cougar sleeps on his child's face (quite cute actually) but I'm not allowed. I promise you I can get permission from Bluff and ESPN, but not from Seth Palansky. Seth Palnsky is the WSOP communications director and has been pissed off at me and NWP after last year's denial letter was posted by Druff and the intern that sent it was black cock'd. Of course we took that thread down to spare the messenger in that case, and both Seth and Jeffrey promised me a media credential for 2009. Obviously neither one of them can remember that conversation. Then they slow-rolled Druff in not answering emails so he wouldn't start a shitstorm. It's total bullshit.

When the WSOP credentials a poker site to cover poker they are not sanctioning the content. They are simply admitting that the site in question is indeed part of the poker media. NWP's coverage of the WSOP would be amazing, and would certainly add value to the WSOP brand. Every other major poker site is allowed to cover the WSOP from their angle, except us. Andy Bloch and I were playing at the same table for a few hours and he asked me with a puzzled look on his face why we were denied our credential. To him it just seemed obvious that NWP would get one because to him we are part of the poker media. I ask all well known player that are friendly with Jeffrey Pollack or Seth Palansky to speak to them personally and ask them to reverse their mistake. Even holler @JeffreyPollack on twitter and let him know how you feel. Maybe next year...

Micon has been touting his HORSE skills for months, but few have believed him. He's now putting actions to go along with his words as Micon has made his second-ever WSOP final table in the WSOP $1500 HORSE event. Come down to the Rio and rail him! GOOD LUCK MICON!

WSOP 2009 Update

Jun 15th, 2009 Poker News submitted by MiconsGirl

There's been a lot of action so far at the 2009 World Series of Poker, and some NWP shouts are in order. First, big shout to Brett "get crunk" Richey, runner up of Event 27, the $5,000 Pot Limit Omaha 8. NWP was of course birding the action. GG Crunk.

Congrats also to Tom "tommyboy83" Koral, who has made TWO WSOP final tables so far this year, one in Event 18, the $10,000 World Championship Omaha 8 and another in Event 25, the $2500 Omaha 8/Stud 8. Tommy finished 7th in both. The O8/Stud8 final table was pretty sick, with big names like Phil Ivey, Jon "Pearljammer" Turner, Carlos Mortensen and Dutch Boyd joining Tommy. Phil Ivey took it down, capturing his second World Series of Poker bracelet this year and his seventh overall. As we found out in Ivey's post-win interview (conducted by Micon and Jimmy "Gobboboy" Fricke), the victory allowed Ivey to scoop all of his bracelet prop bets (rumored to be well in the millions of dollars). Tough life.

Last but certainly not least, best of luck to NWP's namesake, Dustin "Neverwin" Woolf, who has made the Elite Eight of Event 29, the $10,000 World Championship Heads Up No Limit Hold'em. Play resumes tomorrow (Monday) at 2 PM. Rail Dustin in the NWP Poker Forum. ONE TIME DUSTY.
