A couple of months ago we told you about online poker high-stakes lunatic Islidur1 (aka Viktor Blom) leaving his nest at Full Tilt Poker and joining the rival site PokerStars. It now appears that Full Tilt have taken their chance of getting back at Stars by signing the 2004 World Series of Poker Main Event champion Greg “Fossilman” Raymer who has recently departed from the team PokerStars pro.

Over a month ago Fossilman, who currently ranks 32nd in poker's all-time money list with almost $7 million in tournament winnings has disappeared from the list of team pros at PokerStars.com and was recently seen at the NBC Heads-Up National Championship wearing a Full Tilt patch on his shirt. Rumor has it that Raymer did not agree with the new PokerStars policy of cutting compensations on many of their team pros and therefore had to part ways with the site.

However, it now seems that the split was not that depressing and Raymer quickly got over it when Full Tilt made an offer. Although it has been just his first public appearance with Full Tilt gear on him and no details were enclosed, the poker community is already greeting Greg and FTP for their partnership.

What is still uncertain is whether it's a long-term thing or just a one night stand. What is certain, however, is that the story is sure to develop as the question of the term of the agreement remains open as well as whether Raymer will stay patchless or join some other pro team. Guess, we'll just have to wait and see.

For now, here are a couple of Greg “Fossilman” Raymer (and NOT the sexy girls') pics, if you don't already know what he looks like. And, of course, his lizard-eye glasses.
