So I've decided I will be away from the site for awhile. For some this will be celebratory news and for others .... well probably mostly celebratory. I have a lot of stuff going on at this time, including working on writing my TV pilot. One of the characters will be a female poker player so I might need some consultation as far as terminology and the technical aspect of poker goes.

Grey’s Anatomy Appreciation Thread

Who doesn't love Grey's Anatomy? I've watched it since the beginning. Last season I felt they were dragging out the whole Meredith and Derek (McDreamy) break up, and every week I was left feeling unfulfilled.

Well I'd heard that the ratings had slipped as a direct result of them being apart. So this season we were promised a reunion!

Last season we were introduced to a new character (Rose) that Derek befriended and eventually started dating. Even though we all wanted Derek and Meredith back together, we were intrigued by someone new and different entering the picture. Derek tried to pretend that he was happy with Rose, but he could never truly get Meredith out of his mind.

So now Derek and Meredith finally realize they belonged together (thanks to the magic of shitty ratings), so Derek had to explain things to Rose. Obviously Rose was unhappy and lashed out at Derek in the season opener. She was so hurt that Derek would leave her and go back to the love of his life. I just don't get that. I mean, this girl started seeing him, and right from the start she knew there was someone he was still in love with in the picture. I just thought it was so presumptuous and arrogant of her to assume she actually mattered in the big picture.

Well, after some unprofessional and low class things Rose did, she finally walked up to Derek and apologized for acting so immature. She told him that she will step down and no longer be assisting him in his operating room. I have to say that it was very mature of Rose to just walk away, and it's the first time I feel I have some respect for her. Now Rose can go find her own RICH doctor!

The new season should be great!!
