Hello All-

I just had my first paper published- Its a general histroy of the legality of internet gambling/poker. It details the governments attempts to ban online gambling from the dawn of time until the passage of the recent SPA. Unfortunately, it went into the final edits before the NetTeller debacle.

Anyway, I think at least some of you will enjoy reading it. I welcome any comments, suggestions, criticisms, etc. A table of contents should be added by the end of the week so you do not have to wade through all of the stuff you already know.

10 handed $10-$20 loose table.

assume 4 limpers, you have 76s (or the like) in the C/O.

Is a raise here ever appropriate? I was having a debate with another player who makes this raise fairly consistenly (around 50% of the time) in this situation. He think it builds th epot so if he hits big he could get multiple people to chase, he also thinks it buys him the button, and lastly he thinks it adds deception to his game.

I think he is a moron.

Any thoughts?

Given the wealth of reposne to my last question, I would try round 2.

9 Handed.

Villian in BB is weak tight post flop and just plaint tight pre-flop. Lots of checking and calling, and even more checking and folding.

Im on the buttong with AQ of clubs, fold around to me. I pop it, villian re-pops out of small blind. I three bet. Even though he is tight I had been raising a lot lately and he could have had any number of hands. Small pairs through A-10. He flat called.

Flop 245 with 2 clubs. I picture the money flowing like a beautiful waterfall.

He checks. I bet. He calls.

Turn: Offsuit 7. He checks. I bet.

River: Offsuit 9. Check. Check

I know in general that this is an obvious turn bet. But this guy is a calling station once he has something. Givent hat he called on the flop he had to have something because I think he would have dropped AK like it was hot. Given his tightness pre-flop. I had him on a small pair 66-1010. Should I have checked behind on 4th?

Donk Limps in Early/Mid Postion: He plays connectors this way, small aces this way, and 2 big cards this way from that position. He gets hyperagressive when he hits something on the flop but then seems to cool off and pay you down with any piece of the board on later streets.

SB calls.

I wake up in the big blind with the monsterous J3.

Flop Comes: J72 rainbow. Yipee.

Small Blind Checks, I bet, donk raises. Small blind Folds. I flat called (mistake?)

Turn comes 3. I check, donk bets, I raise. Donk Calls.

River Comes a K. I bet, donk raises . . . play?

Thanks all.
