I can't seem to properly manage my avatar. Whenever i update it, it is huge. How do I get it not be so big. It is less than 3 KB. It is 100 by 79 pixels. What am I doing wrong?

What's with all the racism on this site?

I’ll probably get attacked for my first (and maybe last) post here, but…

I started reading the forums on this site about 6 months ago – whenever the weird David Sklansky drama was occurring. I think I clicked on a link another website leading to the forums here. Anyway, I found the site totally entertaining.

But when and why did this site get so racist? Was it always like this? I feel like it wasn’t when I started lurking here. Maybe I’m wrong.

I also know that the overwhelming majority of you aren’t racist, but it seems like the small number that are seem to be very vocal and in damn near every post. (I can see now why a VIP forum was created by the way.)

I feel a little bad for the owners of this site that they have to put up with this. (From my short time lurking here, I don’t think the owners or mods are racist by the way.) I get that NWP prides itself on being uncensored and undoubtedly thinks it would lose its audience if it censored postings here in any way. That is supposed to be what separates NWP from every other site, and there is probably some truth to that.

But what are you left with? A forum where nearly every post has some racist commentary – whether in the body of the post, or the signature lines of the posters. And don’t get me wrong, I think everything else on the site is pretty entertaining (e.g., the name-calling, pornography, etc.), so I don’t think that I am offended that easily. I just don’t get the racism.

And please don’t tell me that the remarks aren’t meant as racist. I’m sure you wouldn’t say them if a black person was in front of you. I’m also guessing that Phil Ivey won’t be doing any posting on this site in the near future.

Another serious question -- I wonder how Bodog would feel if the person that won the NWP World Series seat in the NWP tournament, was one of the seriously racist posters on here. Would Bodog even want to be affiliated with that person? Better question -- would NWP want that person to wear NWP gear during the tournament? Really?

Just something to think about…
