Fantasy Football always was sort of suspicious for me. I've played for about 11 years now maybe 1-2 leagues per year and each year I would get closer to
just quiting this BS as you come to realize just how stupid it is to be predicting individual performances each week when there is SO much damn dumb luck in this crap! I am the type that puts a LOT of time into each year. Insane pre-draft research and daily news/waiver/etc rest of way each year. While I've had actually pretty consistent success with it, I just have had enough.

This team was autodrafted in one of my leagues when the owner didn't show up for live online draft despite him saying he was in. This prevented us from getting a replacement before the draft or even setting his autodraft list. What makes it even more laughable is this is a keeper league where we keep two players. But since we had this league last year, this team still had his draft list set from 2007 draft.

We were all laughing at the picks each round. Even some name picks that appear decent now, keep in mind in August they looked ridiculous with who was still available in the round.

In order:
1) Carson Palmer
2) Shaun Alexander
3) Marvin Harrison
4) Lee Evans
5) Tony Gonzalez
6) Adam Vinatieri (kicker 1)
7) Chi DEF
8) Javon Walker
9) Rudi Johnson
10) Robbie Gould (kicker 2)
11) Mark Bradley
12) Travis Henry
13) Greg Olsen
14) Balt Ravens
Keeper1: Drew Brees
Keeper2: Marian Barber

This was so bad I didn't think we were EVER going to find someone to take it over, let alone pay $50 for it. But we found some newb who just wanted to learn Fantasy Football and he was enticed by the keepers he had. He wasn't concerned about winning as he was just in learning the process of FFL each week. Well 10 weeks of Waiver wire work and some ridiculous luck in some H2H wins, we now all see him at 7-3 and in 3-way tie for 1st (I am one of others in 1st).

It is absolutely sick that a draft can be that bad and be in 1st place by week 10. I don't care how good waiver work one has, it shouldn't happen.

Anyone have a worse draft and winning record example?

I have begun to think I am the only white person who likes them and I am not even from down south. Black waiter looked surprised I was asking for them. Anyone else get them with their breakfast at Denny's and slap some butter on them?

I'm amazed that this is even "news" and makes a celebrity out of and takes away from fact that the guy was DWI.

QUOTE
SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. - A West Virginia man who police said passed gas and fanned it toward a patrolman has been charged with battery on a police officer .

Jose A. Cruz, 34, of Clarksburg, was pulled over early Tuesday for driving without headlights, police said. According to the criminal complaint, Cruz smelled of alcohol, had slurred speech and failed three field sobriety tests before he was handcuffed and taken to a police station for a breathalyzer test .

As Patrolman T.E. Parsons prepared the machine, Cruz scooted his chair toward Parsons , lifted his leg and "passed gas loudly," the complaint said.

Cruz, according to complaint, then fanned the gas toward the officer.

"The gas was very odorous and created contact of an insulting or provoking nature with Patrolman Parsons," the complaint alleged.

He was also charged with driving under the influence , driving without headlights and two counts of obstruction.

Cruz acknowledged passing gas, but said he didn't move his chair toward the officer nor aim gas at the patrolman. He said he had an upset stomach at the time, but police denied his request to go to the bathroom when he first arrived at the station.

"I couldn't hold it no more," he said.

He also denied being drunk and uncooperative as the police complaint alleged. He added he was upset at being prepared for a breathalyzer test while having an asthma attack. The police statement said he later resisted being secured for a trip to a hospital that he requested for asthma treatment.

Cruz said the officers thought the gas incident was funny when it happened and laughed about it with him.

"This is ridiculous," he said. "I could be facing time."
