AK in $2/$4

It seems like everytime I get AK in $2/$4 it NEVER hits...I mean I guess i can understand why because I'm sure other idiots have their aces and what not so at best I guess I have them outkicked.

Now, my question is....should AKs be raised? And what if someone else raises, is it worth calling? What about AKo? It just seems to NEVER hit and if it does I end up chasing it on either the turn or the river.
