how do you make this read?

ok here it goes i played the wpt at the mirage and well i dont know how i could have made this read.Sooo my question is did i misplay this or really just get that unlucky.blinds are 100-200 im 3rd from the button,the guy to my right raises to 600 sooo standard raise i have kk and reraise to 2000 now gavin smith makes the call and i know hes a loose player but anyways he calls so i put him on maybe jj qq ak something like that .and the first raiser folds so heads up.well the flop comes 674 rainbow and i check gavin bets 1500 and i checkraise to 3000 and he calls, so the turn is a 10 i check he bets 4k i call river is a 8 no flush possibilities so reaally i can lose to a set or aa or if he would happen to have the 5 but anyways i bet 4k on the river and he calls he shows 67 how can i put him on that hand did i misplay this?should i have backed down when he just called the reraise?
