Im not really a sports bettor anymore. I used to be a degen at it back in the day when I had money just laying around (late 90's). It was something to do to pass time. Since I started playing poker I bet on avg of around 8 games a year which always includes the Super Bowl. So far this year I am 3-0. Todays bet is something I never do. Im betting with my heart. With reasons. Im taking the Dawgs +14.5 vs Fla. I may also make a small play on the ML as I think this game is a prime upset special in the making. These are my reasons.

1) UGA has had two weeks off while Fla has had to fight to win late the last two weeks. The Fla O has looked pretty bad.

2) The timeouts. Last year as Flordia was kicking our ass 49-10 Urban Crier calls two timeouts in the final minute. Since then a picture of him calling TO has hung in the locker room, weight room and even the cafeteria. Revenge will be a factor.

3) This is the fourth time in school history that UGA has played a #1 ranked team. . So far we are 1-2. The one win came vs Fla in 1985:

1985: A Return to Form
The 1985 Gators entered the contest on a roll: coming off an emotional win at Auburn, undefeated, and ranked #1 in the nation for the first time in school history.

However, this would not be a repeat of the 1984 game. As they had done so many times in the past, the Bulldogs spoiled Florida's season, running all over the Gators 24-3 with freshmen Keith Henderson and Tim Worley, who each rushed for over 100 yards.[10]

This is UGA's biggest rivalry now without a doubt and they want nothing more than to spoil Flordia's chance at another national title. Take the Dawgs and the points.

I could be wrong and we may get blown out like we did in 1996 when Fla was ranked #1 (47-7) but back then the rivalry was nothing like the way it is now. I see a very close game. Go Dawgs!

I was never a huge fan of WWF but I really liked this character.

Judge grants accused killer Curry conditional bond
by BEN HOLDEN - bholden@ledger-enquirer.com

Superior Court Chief Judge John Allen today granted a conditional bond to accused murderer Michael Lee Curry at a hearing this morning in Columbus.

Curry, 51, who faces charges, murder and aggravated assault, will remain in jail until his lawyer can work out the conditions of the release. Those conditions include: $100,000 bond for each of the three alleged victims for a total of $300,000; and a GPS monitoring device — paid for by Curry — which would limit his movement to home, church, work and meetings with attorneys.

Curry is accused in the August 29, 1985, killing of his wife, Ann, 4-year-old daughter Erika and 1-year-old son Ryan.

Ann Curry was eight months pregnant at the time of the slaying, and two feticide counts — along with other counts — were dismissed by Judge Allen this morning.

In addition, the judge took under advisement — meaning he essentially declined to rule at this time — on a motion to move the case outside of Muscogee County because of excessive pre-trial publicity.

Intruder, homeowner face charges in DeKalb break-in
By Christian Boone

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

DeKalb County Police say the shooter of a would-be burglar faces charges after thwarting an attempted break-in Thursday afternoon at his Lithonia residence.

The owner of the home in the 5400 block of Gadwell Circle is charged with aggravated assault because he shot the intruder outside his residence, said DeKalb Police spokeswoman Mekka Parish. The prospective thief was hit with an attempted burglary charge, along with a couple of bullets in the buttocks. His injuries are not life-threatening, Parish said.

Police aren't releasing the names of the men charged, but WSB-TV reports that the intruder is 26-year-old Frederick Lee Williams from Monroe, La.
