Someone slipped video footage of this to me. For those of you not in VIP, this is basically what its about. Phantom even flew in from Australia and makes an appearance with Dan Druff @ 1:20.

I learned to do this shit back in the day, so it is fairly legit.

Basically the Bush administration may try to put some real teeth into the UIGEA before they're done. Comments?

I've recently come across a 20/40 game with a $8 rake. It gets down to $1 per person when under 8 people. (sigh) The lineup is pretty decent, but nothing extrodinary. I've ran pretty bad in this game and am wondering if it is worth the effort. There are no legal limit games within a few hours drive from here, so this game has convienence, good food, and the people are pretty interesting. Anyone think the $8 rake kills the profitablility? I'm guessing I would normally make 1 BB/hr while playing with the normal Vegas rake. I figure $8 rake takes about another $10 an hour out of whatever I'd make. I think it also makes me need to tighten up considerably with all the hands that would otherwise be marginal at best. Anyone have any opinions on this ?

The way I see it.. Usually $4 a hand x 30 hands an hour. (Althought it might be closer to 40 hands/hrAFAIK) means 120.. $8 means 240. So my share of the rake goes up about another 12 an hour. If it is 40 hands/hour then I'm probably looking at like an additional $16 an hour to overcome. Dunno.. Playing a game for ~$20 an hour with constant thousand dollar swings doesn't seem like a good idea, especially since I really don't have $ to throw around. However I miss playing poker... and its a pretty fun game.

thoughts ?
