Anyone feeling sorry for any of these?

QUOTE
Dozens of the world's wealthiest lost billions in recent months, but these 10 distinguish themselves for some of the biggest flops.

1. Anil Ambani

March net worth: $42 billion
Current net worth: $12 billion

The biggest billionaire gainer last March is now the year's biggest loser. Ambani lost $30 billion in the past nine months, more than anyone in the world. Stock of his telecom company dropped after his estranged brother helped scuttle a deal with African telecom MTN.

2. Oleg Deripaska

March net worth: $28 billion
Current net worth: less than $10 billion

Former metals trader survived Russia's gangster wars but may not withstand collapsing markets and heavy debts of at least $14 billion.

3. Anurag Dikshit

March net worth: $1.6 billion
Current net worth: $1 billion

Dikshit designed the software for PartyGaming's successful PartyPoker game, which allowed live gambling over the Web. He left the company and sold a chunk of shares in 2006, the year the U.S. government banned gaming. He recently pleaded guilty to violating U.S. gaming laws and agreed to forfeit $300 million. He could face up to two years in jail but apparently won't be sentenced until 2010.

4. Bjorgflur Gudmundsson

March net worth: $1.1 billion
Current net worth: zero

The October collapse and government seizure of Iceland's second largest bank wiped out the $1.1 billion fortune of Gudmundsson, the bank's chairman and biggest shareholder, along with his son Thor.

5. Luis Portillo

March net worth: $1.2 billion
Current net worth: $15 million

Spain's short-lived real estate gold rush left one of its most visible speculators holding a nearly empty bag. Portillo--who acquired real estate firm Inmocaral three years ago, then led the takeover of the larger Inmobiliaria Colonial in 2006--personally borrowed a reported $1.4 billion from more than a dozen banks during boom times, using his stock as collateral.

Noel is god!

Seeing them at "The Pearl" in The Palms.

I could die peacefully tomorrow and be happy, my concert wishlist is finally complete.

Normally, I will literally walk away at the first sign of a badbeat story coming out of someones mouth, or at least shut myself out enough to where I nod my head and could not repeat what I just heard if they asked.

Anyway, I was at Orleans and someone I know was talking to Saheed. Anyone in town long enough knows the railbird Saheed who is always piss-drunk and been in town long as I can remember.

He was in a tournament once at the Commerce in LA. Don't remember buyin but 1st place was over 50k and he has somehow managed to make the final table fourth in chips. I don't have the exactness of it but I remember he was in the BB and already drunk he said. UTG raises 3x BB and a middle postion player reraises and Saheed checks his cards to see pocket QQ's and goes all-in to which both players call. Now both players have Saheed covered as they are both top 3 in chips so the hand continues on between the two seeing a flop while Saheed sits there watching as he is all-in.

Flop came two queens for flopped Quads for Saheed and there is some betting and thinking going on between two other players. As they play their hands Saheed picks up his two hole cards and leans slightly back to show his backer in the crowd his hand. While doing so, he manages to fall over from being drunk and in process drops himself and cards onto floor. A big laugh ensues, action stops and tournament director comes over and announces Saheed's hand DEAD! He ended up busting out of tournament with flopped quads because he fell over. He said to this day his backer hasn't talked to him.

LOL

Easily the most outlandish and entertaining badbeat story I ever heard.

Fantasy Football always was sort of suspicious for me. I've played for about 11 years now maybe 1-2 leagues per year and each year I would get closer to
just quiting this BS as you come to realize just how stupid it is to be predicting individual performances each week when there is SO much damn dumb luck in this crap! I am the type that puts a LOT of time into each year. Insane pre-draft research and daily news/waiver/etc rest of way each year. While I've had actually pretty consistent success with it, I just have had enough.

This team was autodrafted in one of my leagues when the owner didn't show up for live online draft despite him saying he was in. This prevented us from getting a replacement before the draft or even setting his autodraft list. What makes it even more laughable is this is a keeper league where we keep two players. But since we had this league last year, this team still had his draft list set from 2007 draft.

We were all laughing at the picks each round. Even some name picks that appear decent now, keep in mind in August they looked ridiculous with who was still available in the round.

In order:
1) Carson Palmer
2) Shaun Alexander
3) Marvin Harrison
4) Lee Evans
5) Tony Gonzalez
6) Adam Vinatieri (kicker 1)
7) Chi DEF
8) Javon Walker
9) Rudi Johnson
10) Robbie Gould (kicker 2)
11) Mark Bradley
12) Travis Henry
13) Greg Olsen
14) Balt Ravens
Keeper1: Drew Brees
Keeper2: Marian Barber

This was so bad I didn't think we were EVER going to find someone to take it over, let alone pay $50 for it. But we found some newb who just wanted to learn Fantasy Football and he was enticed by the keepers he had. He wasn't concerned about winning as he was just in learning the process of FFL each week. Well 10 weeks of Waiver wire work and some ridiculous luck in some H2H wins, we now all see him at 7-3 and in 3-way tie for 1st (I am one of others in 1st).

It is absolutely sick that a draft can be that bad and be in 1st place by week 10. I don't care how good waiver work one has, it shouldn't happen.

Anyone have a worse draft and winning record example?
