How Much In Debt Are You and those close to you?

With the bailout bill passing, I have to wonder how they expect to collect the 2000 some odd dollars off each and every person in this country? I look around at the people I know/work with and I would have to say it is 75%/25%, the 25% being without debt, the majority of the 75% being in serious debt.

I would characterize myself middle class but without any debt. To me debt is like a prison, and the more time goes on the more I am convinced the governments wants us all in debt to attain more control.
