It's pretty awesome, insanely better than Vista. When I first bought this laptop Vista lasted all of a single month, I'm not going to get into the virus details but it was nasty. I couldn't reinstall Vista and I also couldn't reformat the fucking hard drive. It would get to 99% and blue screen of death me, I was running my system in system restore mode, basically everything I did on it was functional. I found out Windows 7 was being released for beta testing and jumped on it, assuming during the install I would get the blue screen. Not the case, it installed perfectly and I have not had one single problem since and we're talking about beta fucking testing.

Anyone who has Vista needs to dump it instantly, I was at a point in life where I was begging for XP again, not that there was anything wrong with XP but to downgrade is just pathetic when considering how much time, money and effort went into building Vista.

PS...I couldn't stream movies from my system to PS3 using Vista, with almost no effort after having Windows 7 I was streaming perfectly...fuck vista.

Please explain your basis for saying so.

Just a few things off the top of my head, it doesn't ask you if you are sure you want to execute your command for essentially every command. Your printer can now WORK (basically any external hard ware that was built for XP will work with Windows 7, not the case with Vista)

The network is set up a lot better and you don't have to be a computer expert to do basic things like streaming shit to your fucking ps3.

A lot more, although visually it is very similar other than the taskbar anyway.

I got a free signature edition of Windows 7 a couple of weeks ago... was real good of Microsoft to give me a 32 and 64 bit ultimate version and some other goodies.
There is a few issues with Catalyst 9.9 but hear Catalyst 10 will be launched today and should fix the bugs.
All and all it's pretty damn good, it's what Vista should have been like.

you can turn those off fairly easily, i just can't picture 7 being much different then vista other then more compatibility. i'll get it if this one isn't insanely hard to pirate as they have been getting every release.

Interesting the second line on the install screen talks about repairing your computer.... the computer that is about to be fucked-up. hope you got a good deal at Wal-Mart
