When Pokernews bought the site, they gave me a token sum of $ and small percentage of the site for my past work here. I have been working for free ever since then. I do get a small disbursement every month, but it's just about meaningless, and I'd get it whether or not I contributed here. I didn't mind this, because I was never part of NWP for the money. However, if they aren't going to maintain the site, I don't want to continue. I'm sick of dealing with this BS. I have reliably submitted bug reports to their programming work assignment system, and have tried to help direct them to exactly what needs to be fixed. Nothing gets done. It looks like they just aren't interested in spending the time or money keeping this place going, beyond the very basic ability to actually run. If they want to turn this into an online version of a parking lot, so be it.

That is, they pretty much decided that NWP is all that it will ever be, and only wanted to put minimal effort into it from that point forward. It's too bad, because both Micon and I had a lot of great ideas that could have potentially blown this site up a lot bigger. That's not to say that the purchase was a failure. The site has already earned Pokernews the money back that they paid for it. It's just that it failed to reach the potential they saw in it, which in my opinion was largely due to never really getting fully behind the project. I hope they soon see the error in their ways and turn things around, but I'm starting to think that having such hope is naive, and that I'll have to start my own site if I want anyone to care about keeping it functional.
