Here is what really happened:

Phil was on the phone while looking at his first hole card. The kid straight from the internet sitting to my right called the floor immediately. The very very incompetent floorman who has given me shitty rulings this whole WSOP (Maybe 3 different times) whose name I am going to get tomorrow and take a pic of him I think his name is Steven or something. He is baldish and tall and very mean all the time and DOESN'T KNOW SHIT ABOUT THE RULES OF THIS GAME. In fact, I promise you I will identify this guy and I will have a copy of the motherfucking WSOP rules with me at all times. Fuck this bullshit with Phil Hellmuth or an absurdly ignorant floorperson making up rules MUST STOP.

Anyway, look for that info on who this floorperson is tomorrow. So the kid from the internet calls the floor on Hellmuth and the retard comes over and immediately Phil tells him what happened. (not the dealer, of course). The floorman immediately declares the hand live. I ask what the rule is about cell phones, he replies that there is no rule about cell phones and the "stepping away from the table" is just a courtesy to the players. Phil H's documentary guy has this on film, maybe ESPN too. This guy makes the complete wrong ruling and I protest. (plz someone link me to the WSOP rules ASAP) I say Phil's hand should be dead because this same Dbag almost declared MY hand dead in the $1500NL right when I got to the table under under a different ruling he fucked up (must be @ seat by LAST card dealt)... but anyway I protest and Phil looks at me and says "STOP FUCKING COMPLAINING." Now the floor is right fucking there. He was looking right at me. He said fuck right at my face. I ask this fucko what he is going to do about and if Phil gets a penalty. He says he does not. Phil explodes and tries to bet me that he didn't sweat at me or some such nonsense when the whole fucking table saw what happened. I keep my cool as the internet kid to my right starts screaming that the rules are different for Phil Hellmuth....

Now the internet kid refuses to bring in during all of this. Mind you the floor is just standing there saying nothing not even trying to calm down the situation watching all of this like it will just work itself out naturally. The floor now, after not declaring Phil's hand dead and not penalizing him for saying Fuck in my face, forces the kid to bring in or his hand will be dead. I fold, phil folds his cell-phone hand, and someone raises and wins the antes and bring in. lol @ kid refusing to bring in. He was tilted.

More shenanigans about this hand I will randomly remember and post here.

LOL asking Helmuth why hes not playing in the 50k HORSE is pretty funny but out of line unless hes being a cocksucker, also Harrahs had to fuck it up somehow this year, this time its the floor people.

Rule #87: ... A player who wants to use a phone must be at least 1 table length away from their assigned table or be subject to penalty. The hand of any player talking on a cell phone, texting, e-mailing, or otherwise communicating electronically while in a hand with action pending will be declared dead.

I was playing ring games in the Rio when they started the 2-7 tourney. The tourney director stated over the intercom that if a player wished to make a phone call to please step away from the table. He also said "If you want to send text messages I could care less, as long as your not cheating".

No, step 1 for you was begging for stakes.
Step 2 would be sell car.

I actually believe this is the same guy Daniel was complaining about during either NL shootout or 6 handed event. It was an extra stack fiasco during last year's WSOP involving his table, where Kathy Liebert and Gavin Smith and were trying to figure out whose dead stack some donk got screwed out of, and "Steven" had no idea what happened and had to get other floor men to assist him (DN was a little miffed b/c the dead stack was in between him and the two pros).

Either way, great story, hope they show it on ESPN. If Hellmuth ever finds this place, I'm sure he'll marvel at the moment of cock photoshopped pics there are of him around here (the one I remember from the old forum was where he was brushing his teeth during the famous 2003 ME piece).

Not to be a stickler here, but isn't the rule you can't say fuck TOWARDS a player, like "Fuck you" or "You fucking douchebag". I know before last year they had the no exceptions policy which everyone hated, and it was changed after Andy Bloch, who I believe is on the bullshit players committee, was upset his wife got called for a penalty when she said, "Oh shit, that fucking sucks" when her Queens got 4-flushed on the river in a race vs AT during a NL event in 2005.

Hate to say it, but Harrah's DOES have different rules for the bigger players (although suprisingly Hellmuth was placed in the "sweaty as balls" tent during a 2K NLH event that Druff complained about last year). They often come in through the kitchen back door to avoid the riff raff, and Phil was called, "a whore for Harrah's" by Mike the Mouth in a PAD episode this year, as his face is on every Milwaukee's Best can and ad throughout the casino.

Update:

1) floor's name = Robert Smith
2) His ruling on Phil's Cell-phone hand WAS CORRECT - PHIL HAS A LIVE HAND
3) but only because rule #87 of the WSOP (which you can only get online, and is of course incorrect) was changed but not updated anywhere
4) His ruling on Phil telling me right in my face to "Stop Fucking complaining" is still up for discussion...

I would call the gambling commission. Seriously. Harrah's posting rules online, then changing them, then not giving players access to the modified rules is a clear violation of state gambling laws. Report the dickhead floor person, and the person immediately above him as the principles involved.

you have no idea... not being able to see an accurate rule book for a ridiculously high dollar gambling game is a big fucking deal to those that actually play in it.
