Haha...what a bitch Paul is. I made a comment about him being like Gary Carson...then just defended you in that thread and insinuated the Gary Carson thing again...next thing you know, my posts are deleted, and he has banned me from posting in his journal.

The truth hurts...lol. Paul..if you read this, you are an arrogant little bitch...and I will tell you so if I ever meet you. Guaranteed.

What about calling turn with AAA and raising river. Thats how I play the hand just in case Todd is capable of laying down a hand he is drawing dead with. If he is checkraising a hand that has any gutshot in it u can rest assured he is calling the 3 bet. So this saves u 1 BB if the river is another straight card.

Todd u think that perhaps this is Costa's plan then the card stopped him?

That was good to go over there and face those guys, but I think it was basically a waste of time unless you got something intrinsically out of it for yourself. The people with the strongest opinions will counter everything you say and never back down regardless of the points you made. You probably felt good to explain the situation more, but you really don't owe anyone a lot of explanation for anything. I would guess over 80% of the people couldn't come close to debating a poker hand with you and most are just jealous and enjoying that they have you rattled a little.

On a side note--Paul Phillips had one of the most embarassing moments I ever saw when he was on the WPT during the 2nd season. He showed cards and hammed it up for the crowd and proceeded to go from chip leader to getting beaten by Mel Judah in one of the biggest donk plays in poker history. If you have not seen it, go check it out for your own enjoyment. Then think who this guy is criticizing your WSOP moment. Nothing they are being critical about could match the poor poker decisions he made in that tournament.

Dan, I have followed this guys journal (without posting) for a while now and you are the first person who has shut him up. Yes shut him up. I'll explain.
This guy in the end had nothing to say so he came with lame as comments such as "imagine if you had not started your post like this" and "suuuurrrreee you did" and refering back to weather it was you or not.
Basically when you explained LIMIT and especially LIMIT tourney strategy (meta game) as opposed to the hand in consideration, he had not a word to comment on the hand.
In the end he went back to saying "well i was just commenting on the worst hand part".
As far as the TV hamming it up bit, WHO gives a fuck, you were there and you placed once and won the next so fuck em.

paul phillips has some serious issues which haven't been helped by him becoming idle rich. In the WPT event in which he had an embarrasingly huge chip lead heads-up against Judah they struck some kind of deal; I'm sure Paul would argue it didn't matter after that who won... i call BS on that - its an excuse for a meltdown heads-up.

Sure he can be captain of my debate team anytime, but his blog is not worth contributing to as its censored and edited. On the one hand he calls out antics like Druff showed, on the other hand he defends Phil Laak (his buddy), and I'm sure he'd have some erudite reason for his own antics in the NBC heads-up game against Hellmuth (another melt down for Phillips). I think the pot is calling the kettle black.

he is great at debating..but just because he has a style that makes him hard to argue with...having nothing to do with whether he is right or not. I aint scared to argue with that fuck though. Some people are in fact smarter than he is...

As for Paul, your right he is like any other educated person once they have been bested they tend to not respond.

I had a few posts where i justified certain actions of DD and that ESPN edits it to make him look bad like Arieh, Paul and his Fanboys read what they want to see and try to twist words at a 3rd grade level

The whole poker scene is nasty, you get pompous bozos all the time, kinda like Paul here, making unwarranted statements.

But you can't really blame him, this is the poker life, it's all about trash talk, if you can't handle it then you better stick to being an anonymous internet player with your chat blocked.

Respect is hardly gained in poker and you can get backstabbed anytime. When money is involved, anything goes.
