I don't think you should have gotten the "hater" tag. I agree our current immigration policy is horrid. There are exactly zero Mexicans where I live, however the problem (which is where the "hater" might have come from), is you are generalizing by saying "Mexicans are bleeding American's health care system.." as opposed to illegal immigrants (which are not entirely comprised of Mexicans). Mexicans (those here legally) aren't bleeding the health care system more than any other ethnicity (that is here legally).

I don't believe shipping off 12-20 million people from this country (some who have been here for MANY years) is a feasible reality. There has to be a way to punish those who came here illegally, while at the same time allowing a path to legal citizenship (in which they will be paying taxes, be held MORE accountable for any crimes they commit, etc). Obviously paying a semi-large sum in back-taxes is a first step.

You seem to use isolated incidents (such as the wait time in a hospital), to stereotype an entire segment of our population (Mexicans). Do you know how much of the wait time is as a direct result of illegal immigrants and how much is a result of possible overcrowded, underfunded, etc. hospitals? I am not saying you are wrong, but what facts do you have to support your claim?

You keep mentioning Mexicans and how "they brought this upon themselves". Your xenophobia has you grouping all Latinos as Mexicans (per your John McCain thread), and most Mexicans as illegal immigrants (which is not the case).

I don't have a problem with a group of people having pride in their heritage and wanting to "wave their flag". What I DO have a problem with (which I assume you are addressing), is when illegal immigrants come here and "wave their flag" and talk about making the USA into "Aztlan". That is a double slap in the face as they are currently breaking OUR laws by being in this country in the first place, and then believe they have some say in what happens here.

But anyway.. stop grouping Mexicans with illegal immigrants and focus your efforts to fighting illegal immigration and the many problems it brings (if that is your true purpose). I am hoping you aren't just a bigot, but are in fact a concerned citizen with mild xenophobia (which will obviously go away once you get a little more educated on the subject).

I agree with you for the most part except the fact that the majority of the illegals in California drain the system beyond belief. Countless ER'S have been shut down and a lot of neighborhoods just looking like Mexico City. The worst part of it is that we don't enforce the laws that are in place and these cities (specifically San Francisco and LA) are sanctuary cities and make no effort to enforce the laws in place. Not to mention the fact that a lot of illegals are criminals and shouldn't even be on the streets but are cut loose on the streets to commit more crimes because the lack of enforcement.

I don't know if it was someone on NWP or I read it somewhere else, but the solution to the illegal immigration problem is really easy:

Allow it. Protect the rights of illegal immigrants and make sure they get fair wages. They'll never be hired again, because there's no reason to hire someone lacking when it costs the same amount.

Except for the fact that there will always be employers who will attempt to circumvent the system by allowing their "potential employees" to undercut each others wages. As a result we will have a bunch of legal immigrants here who are getting paid more but still not enough for the average American to survive on.

However, I guess they'll at least be paying taxes (and hopefully back-taxes), so that should help our economy out a LITTLE.
