That is the whole fucking problem - if you go the website and get the rules (before you play tomorrow's $1500 HORSE event, for instance), they are the WRONG RULES. read the whole story before you clog up the beginning of this thread with more stupidity. Big problem @ the Rio no one is addressing.

I did read the story. Why wait until the world series is almost over to bring this up. Remember you are playing for big money. You should have investigated every rule before the wsop

so you think it's fine that Harrah's won't give it's customers a copy of the rules? obv. I'm lazy and it didn't come up until a few days ago... and obviously no one would ask a floor if there were changes to the rules since you printed them from the WSOP site this morning!

How hard did you press for this? If you pressed hard enough they would have gotten them for you.

after bryan asked to see a copy of the rules several times he was told they were on the internet. then when he printed the rules from the internet and showed them to the guy the next day, the floor said that one rule had been changed. bryan then asked for an updated copy of the rules and was told it cannot be provided! they apparently do not have a copy of the actual rules on site

That is infuriating.

There is only one solution now . Challenge Phil Hellmuth , Robert Smith, and Jeff Pollack to a steel cage 4 way ladder match. Winner gets an official copy of the rules. And whoever goes donkdown out of you and Phil first gets a copy of the other guys system. Now I will set odds on this match but I need to know which Robert Smith we are talking about here.

Does this rule apply to the devilfish? I think I remember his antics going unpunished at a PLO final table in recent years.

I've been to 35 or so casinos in my life and I have yet to see a rulebook laying around. The general rules are:


1. No use of cell phones permitted at the table during live play
2. Meat in the seat when the second card hits or hand is dead
3. F bomb use is a warning
4. No black cocks allowed (new rule called the Iveybusta)



I don't care much for the f bomb rule, because unless a player is berating another or being belligerent, who cares? We're not sitting around knitting sweaters and drinking tea. It's for money so there's going to be good and bad emotions. Secondly, why do you care so much about there not being a copy of the rules? I guarantee if you go anywhere and ask for a copy, no one will have a drawer full of them. Thirdly, Hellmuth and other name players are going to get away with things others aren't, that's just because most of them are friends with the directors, take them to dinner/parties, or tip well when they win. That's just a fact of life. I'm sure the director thought you were being douchey about it and just dismissed you. It sounds to me like you're making a big deal about nothing, but I'm just going by what I read on the thread. Possibly to TILT! Hellmuth, but I think it actually TILTED! you instead. If you really want something to worry about, ask them why every WSOP tournament chip count is off. Ask them where the extra $2 million in chips at the final table from a couple years ago came from. You seem easily tiltable, and to continue with this state of mind will only do you harm in upcoming events. If you can't let it go for some reason, don't play anymore events, take your girl, 2 dimes, go to the beach for a couple weeks and relax.

The rules only apply to the non-named pros that guys like Hellmuth and Negreanu approved ahead of time. The rules are still "apparently" wrong on the site. I guarantee you other people are getting penalized for this. Why?? Because it actually STILL IS THE FUCKING RULE. But the guys who feel they are "poker" have a different set of rules. You should either deal with that, or stop playing these tournaments which are made for just a few people anyway. These guys get infinite coverage while ESPN and Harrahs helps prop their latest bullshit book or website to make them even more money. Its built into the system. Once you realize and accept that, you will be happier.. I promise you.
