its pretty safe, always camp well away from streams or creeks which is where snakes tend to be and build up the fire before going to sleep so it burns most of the night. snakes are shy they wont come into a campsite, the biggest danger is walking thru the bush and accidently stepping on one thinking it is a stick
I'm more afraid of the fucking spiders, I heard when they get pissed they'll actually chase you and jump at you and shit. FUCK THAT. I might coime out there sometime this year though, whens a good time?
