the fact that the guy (who somehow managed to make it to 100-200 NL) didnt see how wrong it is to swap 50% with a guy in a 3 handed game does not mean his actions are excusable.

What good does that do anyone? They'll just be back under new accounts. The money won't be returned to any players. The person who was actually involved in this doesn't want to take that action against Mem. This happening would in no way effect you nor do any good for anyone. If Jdredd thinks Mem is a decent enough guy to not pursue action against him I don't see how it's your place to say "Fuck him ban him and seize his money". Nobody gains anything from that. Again, I'm not even opposed to that happening but it's not your place to push for it when the census of the entire community is that that punishment wouldn't fit the crime and nobody would gain from it.

Btw just for the record, Leggopoker lists Mez as being up 750k in 3 months so it's not like he was severely under rolled for a session of 100/200.

Okay, you ban their accounts. They are using new ones a week later. You seize their money there's no way to redistribute it to the players because it's not like the MTTs where you can void the win and give it to players in the tournament. They gained equity against one player but they still lost money. There's no way to quantify a number to reimburse JDredd and what they have in their account is way more then what it would be anyways so what are you going to do with the excess? If you don't seize their money they'll just use a new handle. Without seizing the money banning them doesn't do a thing aside from slightly inconvenience them and say "what you did is wrong". Everyone including the guy who perpetrated the act already acknowledges it's wrong and you can't do that. If you seize the money the punishment doesn't fit the crime. Most importantly as Jdredd doesn't want to pursue action don't think you should be getting so riled up pushing for action from Stars which will have no real effect anyways.

If I get punched in the bar and the guy makes an apology and I accept then we all acknowledge he's a douche and he's not going to punch me. You don't need to be in the corner calling the cops trying to get charges pressed because assault is against the law. The involved parties are letting it go. Hands off.

dude it's a business decision for stars... the positive publicity they will gain from redistributing that money in some form to the players, however they decide, vastly outweighs the amount of money they can seize from the accounts. i dont even mean jdredd specifically, but somehow that money would be redistributed throughout the player base. there is no way they will just seize it and keep it.

Positive publicity? Stars could send out gangs of illegal aliens to break into their players houses at night and rape their children, and you clowns would still play there. Stars doesn't need positive publicity because the vast majority of their customers are addicts who will play no matter what. That being said, the guy who complained about not getting his money because his COLLUDING buddy won't pay up is a fucking asshole and should get the shit kicked out of him. That'd be fine with me but again the punishment doesn't fit the crime. Weather you believe it or not people even those capable of beating 100/200nl do make poor decisions and to tax him a few hundred thousand for this when he doesn't have malicious intent is pretty harsh. JDredd doesn't want to as the one effected so I just don't think it's anyone else's place to decide (aside from Stars obviously but if JDredd didn't want to bring it to their attention it should have just been let go. No one likes a narc.)
