So I win a spot in the $100 NL on 9/3/05 @ 5pm EST and then find out I'm going to the Michigan -vs- Northern Illinois game @ 3:30pm EST. UofM is about 2 hours from my house, and I can't take my laptop into the stadium so that rules out playing in the tourney, so I e-mail them that I'd like to play tonights $100 NL instead and here was my response:

Thank you for your e-mail. Unfortunately seats won cannot be refunded,
changed, or sold. The prizes are specifically for that tournament and when the seats are awarded, they cannot be altered.

WHAT??!! That is one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. Do any other sites do that? I know PS doesn't. I can understand that maybe they don't want the sale of tourney $'s like PS has, but at least allow you to switch tourneys if something comes up. Any help or anyone else that has encountered this and their story would be appreciated.

Yeah, the buddy option is what I'm thinking currently. Wasn't exactly free, I won a $14 satelitte so that money and time invested. Is this practice typical amongst other sites?

if you were as good at poker as you were at posting, I would definitely say give you the seat....you may donk your way into some money but I bet your time would be best used pushing towards 3500 posts as opposed to trying to donk your way to some cash..........I would recommend BigPoppaDump for this tournament

bacon is semi-joking but i've railed him on many broken occasions. he does very well in tournaments from what I've seen. If you don't let me play the tourney, let bacon do it. he's trustworthy and he makes his living off of poker. i pwn him though. he's 2nd only to me.
