So I am playing 50-100 on Cake and the game breaks down to heads up. My opponent is a new player on the site with a pretty deep bankroll ($9k on the table) and seems somewhat tilted. He also doesn't seem to know how to play HU very well.
I am a little stuck from the 6-handed game prior to it breaking to HU, but I quickly beat him for almost $3k and have visions of taking everything he has on the table, or perhaps even more.
Then I get dealt A9o, raise, and he calls.
Flop is like T-x-x, and the software freezes. Rest of the net works fine. Finally it is completely frozen up and I have to end the process and restart. Of course, the dude took the opportunity to bet me off the hand (Cake has no disconnect All-ins like Stars does) and ran off before I got back.
So not only did the gay software cost me $100 (unless he would have beaten me for more in the hand), but it ripped me out of potential profits against this player who left because he either thought I was quitting or re-assessed his spot while I was gone.

Was it that gay tourney announcement thing that pops up in the corner? That thing tilts me more than anything.

Druff, I thought about making a thread about the same thing. I got 2 or 3 refunds for this in sngs, but they will no longer refund me. Because of this I dont play sngs on that site anymore. This shitty software freezes up on me all the time when the rest of my internet is running perfect and its starting to piss me off.

It has happened to me too while in tourneys, and I've got refunds of my buy-in. Sometimes they cancel the tourney altogether, in which case you are supposed to get an equal distribution of the prize pool among the remaining players (if you haven't reached the money), but I never saw shit. They told me it happens when their outsourced tech guys do maintenance. I told them run your fucking site right, freeze all action during those times and give people plenty of heads-up that it will happen. Beyond dumb.

Ya I've heard cake freezes often for some players (while others never have problems). I was told only way to fix it is to reinstall software. Otherwise this will continue to happen.

There has always been some weird sexual tension between phantom and Martha. Micon is lucky that there's a big ocean between you two.
I'm not sure which indignity is worse: - Leaving your wife, shacking up with your former neighbor, and getting cheated on with a guy from your own poker forum, or... - Getting ripped off for $12,000 by a guy with neck tattoos
Either way, Micon needs to be thankful that phantom isn't visiting his girl's land down under.
