Everything I read on random google results are for the most part very positive reviews, despite their cost of $700-2k each. Considering I spend 12+hours a day sitting at my computer I'm thinking about buying one. Does anyone here have one? If so, which one and do you think they're worth this kind of money?

Ive had an aeron since 2002 or so. Its a good chair, but for the price I could have gotten something much better I suspect. Example; the rim around the back rest is very, very hard plastic. This sucks. Id prefer something along the lines of an executive chair, something I can lean back in with comfort.

sit in one, imagine youre incredibly tired, lean your head back on that hard rim. if you can hang, buy it, you wont regret it. otherwise, look for a *good* knock off that is actually comfortable when youre not sitting at attention.

I wish they had a place around here that sells them, no dealers according to the search. I'm going to see if others are commenting on the uncomfortable back piece, but that sounds like something you shouldn't have to put up with on a $1300 chair.
The reason I'm thinking about one of these chairs ironically is because right now I have a big leather executive style chair. It's comfortable, but to the point where I think I'm more incluned to lean back in it more which makes me tired and my productivity to go down. I'm hoping the Aeron would keep me sitting up more with better posture which would allow me to play longer and earn more.

its probably perfect for you then, seriously. especially if you have that other chair around, you can just swap out and zone & recover then settle back into the aeron for serious work. btw the aeron is glory it-fucking-self on hot days, the air circulation from the mesh is so choice.

There ought to be a forum for you seriously, where you can continually ask questions on how to spend large amounts of money.

You must not get out much.
So you're saying you would or wouldn't recommend an Aeron?
Since these threads tilt you so much I'll answer your last question like this. No, I don't get out much, except for the fact that I just got back from a spur of the moment decision to randomly fly to Vegas for 10 days and stay in my house there, where I keep my "other" car parked for the few random times I'm there a year. In two weeks I'll be leaving for a 10 day trip to Aruba where I'm sharing a beachfront condo with another friend that hasn't made under 1million/year in poker since 2002.
SFO, DEAL
Seriously... I just wanted to know if anyone had one of these before I spent the money. I have money, but I'm pretty frugal and like hearing other peoples opinions that I trust before I make big purchases... which is why I bring this sort of stuff to NWP.

How about doing like rest of America and going to a store and sitting in the fucking chair and seeing if its comfortable.
Most of your posts are brag posts. Like I said, we get it, you are a good sports handicapper. If you want advice on a $1400 chair there are plenty of exoctic chair forums to get advice I am sure.

Ya, I'd buy two of those for the two computers I have in the basement for $150 each even if I'd rather have an Aeron for my desk, let me know.

I just read a fluff piece in some biz mag about the new generation of chairs that are going to be the Aeron killers. One of them looked really sick since it was designed to be really comfortable and contort with your body especially for side sitters. I'll go try to dig it up tonight and get back to you tomorrow.
