Anyway, I walk in and notice Axelrod sitting at the front table. He is there with Forrest Claypool (Cook County Commissioner) and their wives. We decide to send dessert to the table (cleared by secret service...). They end up coming over and chatting with us for 2-3 minutes. Very nice guy.
I definitely wanted to meet him either way...but didn't want to interrupt their meal or be douchey by approaching their table...so I think sending dessert was a nice move...and we didn't have to approach and annoy them...
We topsy turveyed them!!
That seems like a weird coupling. Was the food good?
Food was excellent. Have known about the place since it opened....and always talked about going but never got around to it...and too many other favs in that area. Saw the reviews on Yelp had been really good and decided to try. Possibly top 10 Chicago culinary experiences thus far....
