what's the best site to play heads up low stakes cash games on. I've heard a lot of people complain about hit n runs on ub, and experienced this myself, is any site any better, or is ub the best?

There will be hit and runs whereever there are scared people playing over their heads.

Which is to say, everywhere.

i think ub is the best. then again, i love the software and also love ubuddy to track the fish around and know exactly when and where they sit down. (this is very useful for HU players)

if you don't want someone to hit and run (it happens on every site) the best thing to do is try to get under their skin a little bit...

yeah, im not sure how much heads up im going to end up playing, seems very unprofitable in the long run because of the rake, i think the sit n gos should be more profitable for me in the long run.

You can make a lot of money heads up. Ask neverwin about this. If you are getting rakeback at least that helps ease the pain.

I can't even believe someone would complain about hit n runs in online poker. Unless you specifically state you want to sit for 2 hours or playing freeze out or whatever, I would say they have the right to jet whenever they feel like it. Unfortunately, they usually feel like it when they are ahead. I never feel obligated to sit for long periods waiting to give my money back to some guy I just beat. If I am up and ready to go, I leave. I have never sat down and had any stipulations of when I will leave. Everyone who plays online poker knows this. You play and get took, there is no gaurantee you will get it back, at least not from that person.

At the higher stakes, I would like some time to get my money back, but I would not expect them to stay or feel they needed to stay. If they jet, that's poker. We never signed a contract. On stars, you can sign up for heads up games pretty cheap and you know they won't run off. Otherwise, people are going to be people. If they have money and nothing keeping them from jetting with it, they probably will leave once they see the well has gone dry.

"I played 15-20 hours of poker last week, and I never played a single hand just for the hell of it."---John Vorhaus

Remember, these guys sit down with you for one reason and they are out for your money. They are not there to be fair, or nice, or your buddy, or anything else.

If you enjoy playing HU, the best tables, IMO, are on Stars. They are nano-limit with no rake, and the money is meaningless, but most players do take it seriously and you will learn quite a bit if you haven't played heads up that much.

I'm of the mindset that it's not worth it to play HU for anything less than 50-100, because the rake is too large an impact at anything smaller, unless you can find an absolute donk to play.

Around time of Heads Up Championship on NBC, Wong finding very many poor player wanting play heads up with no experience at how play except what they seeing on TV. Wong make several thousands of dollar heads up in under one month, even though it not Wong strength. Mr. Meyer absolutely correct, opponent selection most critical part, you needing find donkey for to play. But Wong finding opponent who willing lose $100 at 2-4 limit much worse than player who willing play $100 SNG. Rake probably taking $30 of your combined $200 and there chance of bad donk striking hit and run, but level of skill much lower in heads up rings and best player almost always win if match continue until one player broke.
