But the thing I dont get... if someone is rich, they dont need to ask you for money. So wouldn't the red flag go up immediately as soon as they asked? To me the glitz and glamour bit makes his asking more suspect, not less.
And if they could convince you they needed money for some bizarre reason, why wouldn't they go to their rich friends/ family for it? Why would they ask someone like you? No offense. This is the same logic I use for myself.
This is why I never lend - only give. If the person is poor and a fuck up, you'll never see your money again anyway. So if you're compassionate, just give it to them and be done with it. If they are rich, they don't need it, or should have many more avenues to get it other than asking someone who can't really afford to give it. So if they are asking, they are obviously lying. Case closed. So are you going to be compassionate and give micon money? Dude micon seriously man first you sell your baby, the site gets totally fucked and you get rolled? Guess bad things do happen in threes. Find some russians with good ties and let him see how much life sucks when you can't use your legs, and don't settle for 12 k you are getting 30 or he'll need a cane the rest of his life DEAL.

You knew you were getting rolled, had the guy within arms reach and your only idea was to "videotape him" so you could "sue"?
