I quite often play live at the casino near my home. I do fairly well and am overall a lifetime winning player, playing live.. they only spread two games 1/2 nl and 2.50/5 nl and often there is only one table going during the week.
You see your fair share of tourist donks, local donks, tight hardasses and excellent winning players. Of course table selection is key, and there have been...

9 man's on stars, we get HU and I run into 2 types of players. 1. One who shoves preflop almost every hand. 2. One who will see every flop and min bet it everytime.
1. If he's literally shoveing over 90 percent of the hands should I be calling with any Ace here or even something like kq? 2. How often should I be raiseing him here, and wouldn't it be correct not to over...

bad call late in tourney?
Your expert opinion, please. $2K buy in deepstack tourney at Borgata. 956 players start, 90 pays, $445k 1st place. 3rd/last day. 40 players left. I'm 14th in chips w/ 880k. blinds 20-40k 5k ante. 5 8-handed tables left. I raise in EP w/ TT for 120k, 100k in blinds/antes in the middle. SB goes all in for 570k. 450k more to me to call, which would leave me w/ 310k. 450k to call to win...

Coming from a NLHE player
Hey Druff, I've never played Limit HE before. I've heard it is a reliable money maker and not too difficult. Can you point me to some books/posts/resources to help me learn how to play? I'm trying to expand my poker horizons.
I'm a slightly winning NLHE player if that matters.
Thanks!...

I'm assuming yes, but I can think of a few reasons to argue against it.

is it possible to beat this multi tabling?
Back in the day, I used to be able to fire up 6 tables of $10-20 lhe on party and crush it on a regular basis. I would just play like a robot and rake in the money. Recently I tried playing 4 of these tables at 5-10 lhe and got crushed. The game was too tough, and playing that many tables I couldn't really make any reads on the players. I'll admit LHE isn't my specialty, but I sti...

First two hours of an online tournament, assume everyone is average in chips. AQ offsuit UTG, what is your normal course of action. My thoughts are 2.5x bb raise, and play very cautiously. I want to put in a small raise but if someone has a real hand I want to get away with as little of investment as possible.
Thoughts?...

Went to play at PokerStars Macau where the APPT event is held. So Friday night I was smoking hot. Was just playing some guy in 2-4 heads up, I busted him but still ended up losing money (lost 6 cents lol). I looked at the difference between cake and full tilt heads up rake. Say you call off 40% of your stack, as a 75% favorite everytime preflop, other player open shoved, and everyone else folds. On AVERAGE how many of these hands before your broke? Basically, trying to mathamatically prove calling huge preflop bets w/ak off is a very bad idea. I know that it is, but I don't know how to do the math to prove it.
