No bad decision there on your part as you are well below 10m there...arrojo81 isn't making a bad decision either calling you having you covered and being suited with his Ace...It's typical of Stars though to keep the game moving getting the tourney over in 5-6 hours at most...Big stacks moving forward and the little guys with the best of it getting blown out...
It's just as so early in so many of your contests you don't need to put it all in and in EP...Why risk it with without AA or KK to put yourself at risk so early...Sure I see E-dog doing it and Negraneau playing small ball all time..But remember they have sponsers to help out...And write books...But in the future expect them not to win as much unless they change their game...People are gunning for them and starting to take shots at them...
As for betting patterns?...Well the thing is you have to mix those up also...Or the smart players will catch on to you...
Late in a tourney a player may overvalue his hand in EP unless he knows the table real well...You have K-Qs in early and bet...It goes re-raise and re-raise...Now you have to fold and wasted your chips...Better to bet this hand in the CO or Button against those tight blinds if you know them to be...But then even there you have to look at their stacks...Stacks are what you have to watch...Like the hand you posted...You must of known that he'd call you...But it was a good decision on your part to put it all in...
And do you use tools when you play?...The ability to look up a player and know if he's good and how he plays?...
Tourney is always going to be skill with some luck...You have to have both to win...Unless you're Jamie Gold who just lucked into it...

Well there's no reason to raise there even on the flop for your perceived value with the outs...You're not below 10m and with his chips he's calling you down or even raising you like he did to hit his Gutshot...He got lucky and hit his K...but you could of saved yourself some $$$ by just checking of even folding when he bet...I know it's hard to lay down your draw as it was better than his...Sometimes you should though...But that's me and I hate chasing...Especially with a draw and not many in...Oh sure you had the A but what if he had A-Q for the win or A-J for the chop?...
