http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/97/two-p...pocrisy-356225/It would not bother me a whit if I get banned for this post: Mason, you are losing it. I cannot believe that you are this stupid. Banning anybody, including Whittles, from this site for no reason worth discussing makes it clear to all of us that you are both arrogant and paranoid.
You've also recently passed on publishing a new book written by authors you have previously published because one of them has allegedly distributed too much content about poker without charging for it and you think that the content should have been monetized. Hey, publish who you want, we don't care. But, stop being so short-sighted. Make decisions for the right reasons, not because somebody does or says something that you don't like.
Your recent actions indicate a degree of arrogance that you cannot afford to continue. As interest in poker continues to slide in the US, as the US government gains traction in the war against activities that affect on-line play, etc., you need to be a little smarter in handling affairs that quickly become public. Your site is not our only option. Your books are not the only books.
I'll tell you, between Slansky's public self-indictments which have been beyond ludicrous and your most recent stupid decisions and comments, it is clear that the two of you deserve each other. As you will discover, the world does not begin and end with your interests or perspectives.
I feel bad. You have contributed immensely to many things, including the world of poker. But, it is now clear that you need to listen to some intelligent people and stop thinking for yourself. I'd suggest you retain a good PR firm for a start. It worked wonders for George Steinbrenner as he grew older and could not control his mouth.
It's proving to be dangerous for the future of your business as more of us figure out how vindictive you are when things don't go your way. Find a hobby, volunteer, take a vacation, get a life. One way to attract the wrong kind of attention is to set yourself up as judge for the industry. There is no way you can come out ahead in that role.
