do it. Post this bitch on 2+2. From playing just a few hundred hands of it, I know the game is insanely balanced. I'll bet the optimal # of cards is 4.5 or something like that - could be decided by red /black on the flop.

The Russki can call, fold or raise pf/f/t/r. He must call ALL THE BETS currently put in for that street - usually with the intention of calling a lot more bets than are currently in the pot, because he must call all the callers that haven't called yet if there is bet, raise, raise, call, Russki call (he knows the others are usually at least gonna call the current wager)

The Russki can, and should fold sometimes. Usually when he misses the flop or at the river when he misses his 3000 outs. Sometimes the other players will "massage the Russki" by only calling or making it 2 bets pf knowing there is a tight, nitty Russki. Other times you can "punnish the Russki" knowing he is a gambling Russki and just haveing a big field insta-cap the pf betting.

Anyone know how you would mathematically model a new game like this?

I can write the code, but I don't know where to start.

go back to 2+2 math boy! smile.gif

No, but seriously, how would you figure this out. I guess you would figure out the probably of a random 5 card hand beating a number of random 2 card hands and figure out if this edge is enough to compensate for how much money you have to put it the pot. Im guessing that a big part of this game would relate to how many players are playing. Ill post this in the poker theory section and see what they think.

If the Ruski was dealt 10hJhQhKhAh in his hand, could he play all 5 cards or would he only be able to play 2 of them? Or if he was dealt 10hJhQhXX and the board had AhKh, could be play the 3 to make royal, or just 2 from his hand?

"he is dealt 5 cards and can use them to make his best 2-card Hold'em hand."

Looks like he has to pick 2. So like in Omaha, you only want two to a suit or rank.

u are using 5 cards to make a *hold'em hand*

meaning it's NOT LIKE OMAHA, it's like you wish Omaha was like. 4 card flushes, etc. are all in play.

u can use 0,1, or 2 cards from your Russki hand.

But if the russki holds 4 aces or 5 spades, they're pretty boned.

But I guess 4 aces in russki would be a hell of a lot better than 4 aces in omaha since you are only playing a bunch of two card hold em hands.

so what's the best russki hand?

AA
78 suited
K suited with the ace but not the 78?
