Typical cookie cutter reply is "Oh, look at allvegaspoker.com" but most of the reviews there are from the cash players and most of them are bigger donks than the NWP regulars "The fucking bitches tittys were sagging and the watered down jack n cokes took 25min each to get" are the run of the mill reviews I see on there.

So I might as well ask you and possibly others who may be in the know: What are some of the better MTT's on the strip around the $100-$200 buy-in ammount. I hear the Cesears runs some good ones durring the day/evening but i've heard Micon being fond of the weekend ones at the Orleans (this seems more like of a destination spot since its off the beaten path). I am not sure taking a cab to the Orleans is worth the while just to play in a donkament but I guess if the juice is low and the fields are soft and large I may look into it. I know most of the ~$100 buy-ins are major shove fests and i'd probably be better off playing several $12 180turbos on Stars instead. I am just looking for a little bit of donkslaying before I have to go into shove mode is all.

I'm fine with you guys thinking your pissing me off or something acting like this but we all know where im going to end up in poker when being serious. I am up almost 10k this summer in micro FR and 6 max 15-20 tabling and I have tons of backers but yep just keep laughing at me and i'll keep dedicating my life to improving my poker game and getting somewhere big in life.

Orleans gives you plenty of play for about 1 1/2 - 2 hrs. After that the rest of time in the tournament you are at risk of one hand crippling you because it turns into an all-in fest as the short stacks get desperate and the bigger stacks are never really that far ahead (unless of course you amass a huge stack). If you are used to online tournaments then I suspect you will be comfortable with any "daily/nightly" live MTT in Vegas. But for pure "play" I still think the Sahara 45+20 at 7pm is better than Orleans. Orleans is just having some huge turnouts with pretty good overlays for risk.

Between the $100 and $200 range I have to go with Caesars every day of the week. In all honesty though, I have taken a break from playing tourneys on the strip for about 6 months, so it is possible something has popped up that I don't know about. I can say with confidence though, that the majority of the low buy in tournaments on the strip are all in fests after the second hour. The Sahara for $62 definitely gives you the most playing time, and you can buy back in if you get knocked out in the first hour. But even that is the all in fest after hour 2. The best daily tourneys are at the Venetian and obv Bellagio, but let's forget about the Bellagio. Venetian during the week is $340, and weekends are $550. The Orleans runs a cool bounty tourney I believe every Friday. You get $5 for every person you knock out.

I played the Sahara 10 pm ($60) on a recent trip, a weird little tourney with a one re-buy/add. Lots of crazy play the first hour, a combination of donks having the rebuy safety net and a general atmosphere of Cap'n & Coke shenanigans. If you can put up with the Sahara vibe, it's a soft field.

Planet Hollywood has a nice $60. Nice place. Field is not too large, competition meh.
