Hay guz Im a big fan of this forum....well actually Im a big fan of Sonatine. To be honest I do not understand any of the posts in here and that makes me sad.

I want to have security too fellas! OK so I have a question that will dumb down this forum a few notches:

Lately I have been having problem with my printers. I have switched out 3 laptops and 3 different all in one printers. I keep on having strange occurrences when I try to print. It will say that my printer is disconnected even though my computer shows a good connection. Or it will simply do nothing.

My question is....could it be a virus that picked up on a NWP, Boris or beastiality website? What is the best way for me to protect my computer from viruses? Keep in mind that I have no critical data on these computers, but I hate hassle. My Vista Windows keeps asking me to purchase One Care or something like that every day and reminds me that I am vulnerable with no firewall.

1. Viruses fuck up printers?
2. What should I buy/steal to protect from computer critters?

I've seen this before, but only when there was incredibly floppy hair deployed in the environment. My advice is to run a floppy hair scan on your network, immed.

Actually Ive seen cases where viruses interfered with printer services due to them probing the network for vulnerable computers hosting network printers.. also IIRC you had a run-in with Conficker recently didnt you? Or did I dream that?
