suppose you have ako and ur opponent 76o. suppose you know for sure that if you raise 4xBB he will fold and if you raise 3xBB he will call.

if he folds he makes a mistake as he has enough equity to call and if he calls he is making the correct play (mathematically) but what he does is up to you. what should you do?

this is a tricky question for me because it seems like you should go for the call but by doing so you cause him to make the correct play whereas if you go for the fold you're causing him to make a mistake.

Too hard to answer this, because you need to know how his post-flop play is.

If he's willing to stupidly pay you off with middle pair versus your top pair, you want him in. If he's smart enough only to give you action when he's likely to beat you, you want him to fold.

Also, I am assuming you don't know he has 76o as the hand plays out, or otherwise it's totally different. Then you never want him to fold, because you can always manipulate the hand to your favor, being able to see his hole cards.

let me put it this way:

opponent A will not call your 4xbb preflop raises even though they are numerous and therefore your hand range is wide. you know he is giving up equity, usually a few % but sometimes up to 10%. should you continue to force this error or start betting less until you find a raise amount he will call.
