So Age of Conan had great potential to be a fantastic game but fell flat on its face. I know people with the best PC's money can buy can't even play the game longer than 15min before the game crashes on them. If it isn't performance issues with random setups its imbalances in game between classes and lack of content. On top of this you have the WORST support of any MMO i've ever played. Enough tilt about AoC...onto bigger fish to fry:
Warhammer Online, So aparantly if you pre-order the game you can get a code to get into beta this weekend (the 15th). Now I am not sure thats when the beta will start but the code will be able to be entered on the 15th. I am also not sure you need to pay the full $50 to get the code or just $10 to "hold" the game until the September 18th release date. Pre-ordering it will also entitle you into a $5 discount on the game launch plus two in-game exclusive items along with an early access date (so you can play before the retail launch). Obviously you wont be able to take your beta character into the live September 18th launch but it still a good teaser to see how well the game runs on your system and what class you may want to play before you actually play.
You can read more about it here:
Warhammer PreorderIs it really that bad? I heard aoc is really freaking good. I just got it earlier today and gonna install later if my computer will even run it. I also heard about this new game called Darkfall that is a MMO that looks like it will be pretty good too. Its suppose to be heavy in PvP which is what i'm hoping is really good about conan
Well, at the core AoC is a very graphicaly beautiful game with alot of actual skill needed for PvP (Tap Canceling, Directional Shielding, Jousting..etc). But there is tons of imbalances and things that don't even work as intended and its very fustrating to see broken end game and the ammount you need to grind once you get higher up in level which isn't fun at all.
Warhammer is great in the sense that will virtualy play on any PC that can play WoW, the downfall is that it doesn't look as great as AoC but EA and Mythic are definatly smart enough to realize that to get a large MMO market you need to accomidate for a larger market of consumers with "just adverage" systems. There is so many diferent ways to go about your buisness in the game and "level up". You can honestly do nothing but PvP and Scenario's (Pickup PvP's, Similar to WoW Battlegrounds) and level up to max level. There is a in depth story line that you can follow with random encounters you see in game (I personly don't give a shit but I know some do). So far it looks like a keeper and I will be itching to play the retail in the next few days.
