wow @ that hand and the thought process behind it.

this from the guy who is scared to tell me his handle on cake after PM'ing me, asking if we just played together there.

it was in the pm when you said it was you. Probably somewhere after the word "pwnt". I didnt reply because I assumed you would figure it out considering it was less than 2 sentences long

lol at just plain making shit up:

arioch@variance /cygdrive/c/Program Files/Sportsbook Poker/Hand Histories/sonatine
$ grep -i _hoyt_ *

arioch@variance /cygdrive/c/Program Files/Sportsbook Poker/Hand Histories/sonatine
$

This command says that he looked through all the files in that directory and there was never an instance of the text "_hoyt_" in any of the text files. Not sure if he looked in the right place though. "Sportsbook Poker" wouldn't be the same as Cake AFAIK, so I have no idea wtf is going on here.

Sportsbook is a skin of Cake. I also hear they are on the shady side and REALLY bad (worse than Cake) with payouts.

Basically avoid any skin of Cake and play on Cake itself. In fact, skins are almost never good to play on. Stick with the main site if possible on any network.

Regarding the $15-30 Limit game at Bellagio:

It's probably one of the best mid-limit games in town, due to its passiveness and high rate of tourists taking part. Also, since it's far from the biggest game in the room, the better players are at $30-$60 and $100-$200, so you won't be up against any really strong competition. Of course, if you're not a good LHE player, you aren't going to beat it. I was suggesting that Micon play it because he's the perfect candidate for it. Micon is a decent LHE player who would be an underdog at a big LHE game (even if he had the bankroll) but definitely a favorite in that 15-30 game. I'm not sure what you could win there per year. 100k is probably unreasonable, but you could make a respectable win there, and it's a good place to build or re-built a bankroll.

From what I've seen, the game is full of limp donks, chasers, and straightforward tourist-types. I have some friends who play it occasionally -- casual but solid players -- who beat it nearly every time they play.

If you have strong limit hold 'em fundamentals, know how to play donks, and aren't down to case-buyin funds, that's a great place to be playing nowadays. I felt that Micon's money would be better used there than trying to take random shots at donkaments all over the place.

I doubt any live game can be beaten for 2 bb's per hour, but I could be wrong.

I'd say the bellagio 30 game could be, but you have to practice table selection.

I used to beast the 5-10, 10 -20 games at foxwoods for 5 bets per hr but it was a very small sample size. I know a few guys who make 100-150 k in the 20-40 games there. There are 7 donks at the table pretty much 24 hrs per day in that game

Thx for this, I'm staying at Bellagio in about 2 weeks time and was wondering about this game. I played a little in it last year when I went and found it ridic soft, was wondering if this was still the case. Looks like I'll be playing it this year then.
