If you play tight/aggressive even in a 4/8 game, you can drop $400 easily when running bad. Remember, the river giveth and the river taketh. You will win huge pots on the river but lose big ones too. Must have bank roll, not to blink when running bad. I play 4/8 at Winstar and limit myself to 10% loss any one day, which is extremely rare ($500). But $300-$400 swings in a day happen often. VARIANCE. It's a LONG TERM game.
Winstar has much bigger pots at the 4/8 limit tables than the 1/2 NL. Both games are populated with donks. Many players have basic understanding of NL. Very few have a grasp of low limit.
