2008 NWP Dead Pool - Official Death Watch Thread

yeah youre right, i guess no one cares. thats why they have this contest every year, and spend time carefully selecting their picks. why dont we just set up a dice game in an alleyway somewhere for 20 bucks each, we can roll dice like some fucking swoogs. because it doesnt matter right? it's a fucking competition man. when someone else has an unfair advantage, it no longer is fair, let alone fun. if you want in, let everyone go back and edit their picks too. that's fair.

Sheesh guys, just let our pics in. I promise I had NO idea what other people picked. I had been traveling for like a billion straight hours on my way to Hawaii. It was actually before midnight where I was too (I know it the deadline was EST). It is $20 and I really don't care about they $$. Heck if I win any money I will put half the money up for an NWP freeroll. I swear I had no idea what anyone else picked and even if I had I wouldn't have changed my pics anyway.

In the spirit of all the stupid politics all over TV, I demand a recount.

LOL, ok. that is fine with me. obv, none of the other people in the contest would go for that, but I certainly wouldn't mind. It is not fair that you are stealing my ability to root for people to die for an entire year (now that is sick).

why is this so funny? you had access to like 9 other peopls picks. they were made public. whether or not you took advantage of this i dont know.. you seem pretty honest. but teamrazor, nah, i dont believe that fat fuck any further than i can throw him

how is this not fair? lists were made public. 2 guys came in hours afterwards with their lists who had a lot of the same picks. i spent some time on my list. its worth less than it was before. it was the clear cut favorite (imo) now its not. some of my picks were cherry picked (again, imo). if you 2 guys get in, everyone should be able to cherry pick. thats fair. if you think its LOL, thats cool too.

I honestly wouldn't care if everyone got to edit their picks after seeing everyone else's picks. However, that would REALLY compromise the integrity of the pool. I UNDERSTAND that letting the two late guys in the pool compromises the integrity of the pool, but on a much smaller scale. Actually, it only compromises the integrity if you believe that we really changed our picks because we saw someone else's picks. Honestly, I swear I didn't look at anyone else's picks. I had my picks narrowed down to like 23 picks a few days before the deadline. My buddy that was helping me choose them wasn't satisfied with them and wanted to search for more picks. I then left for Hawaii, went to bed when I got here. Once I got around to buying the internet in my hotel room I threw out 3 of my picks and submitted them to wrenchjockey. I had not even looked at the thread until wrench sent me a PM saying we were out, because people were making a huge stink about letting us in late.

1. I don't care if everyone can change their picks (although that is silly IMO)
2. I offered to give half of my winnings (if there are any) to an NWP freeroll.
3. It is $20 and retarded to not let someone in...even in they did it like 6 months LATE, IMO (its not like I am picking people that already died and getting credit for it).

Its interesting that dual and ship dont seem to believe me in this. What fucking reason would I cheat in a 20 buck death pool?

Dual needs to get a life I mean seriously. We will all have similar picks because the amount of people about to die is small.

like i said in my first post in this thread, before i went megatilt (4realz obv), you fuck the integrity of the game if you let people in after the deadline. theres a reason it's called a deadline, theres a reason deadlines exist. u dont get to bet a fucking roulette number past a certain point either, etc i could make infinite analogies
