Wrench what time were the picks sent to you? You put up everyones pick AT MIDNIGHT EST. exactly. a couple hours later is plenty of time for someone to sneak a pick or two that they liked.

Razor, after pitching a complete game shutout in the 07 death pool, i dont think you are smart enough to come up with a list or at least go in on it with someone 80/20.

So yeah I was right, its about you worrying your not getting value for your 20 bucks.

FWIW, I don't know why Razor waited til 2 hours past the deadline to send his picks, but I'm all for him being included in the pool.

Three reasons:
1. Picking potentially dead people is not exactly a science.
2. Picking same people as others doesn't benefit him.
3. If his 0-fer streak continues....there's $20 of dead money in the kitty.

C'mon Ship, everyone loves dead money (pun intended)

I made the decision to pull the two lists because this is supposed to be a fun, degenerative pool. It was shaping up to become a complete abortion where nobody is happy with anything, and that's what it looks like it is.

On one hand, there are bonus points for being the only person to select a stiff. Letting people in after the picks were posted (at exactly midnight Eastern) allows late-comers to cherry pick selections. This is why I ship my picks to Druff before anyone else has made theirs, and he ships them back to me at the beginning of the contest.

On the other hand, it's just $20, and who really cares because it increases the prize pool. I see both sides, and I really don't care which way we go. I'll cast the deciding vote if it comes down to it.

I will stand by my earlier assertion that if a MAJORITY of the original 11 agree to let the two late-comers in, we can always put them back in.

For the record, I received thakilla's picks at 3:40am Eastern, and TeamRazor's at 7:27am Eastern.

the reason why i spoke up, in case anyone was wondering, is because i am the death-predicting genius behind ship's list. i was talking to ship earlier like "dude our list is golden" then he informed me some fat british fuck and some other guy came in late with their lists. coincidentally they both had elizabeth edwards (who NO ONE had) and some other ones that might not have been unique to my/ships list but were obviously cherrypicked (hello bobby murcer? no british motherfucker knows baseball)

and no i didnt just rip off some fucking deathpool.com site or whatever the fuck, i used my brain and my crystal ball. i got mad google skills. motherfucking ARTIE LANGE is a lock. motherfucking ELIZABETH EDWARDS thats a stroke of genius motherfuckers. and you come in 7 hours late stealing my shit like its all cool razor? fuck that man, i put blood sweat and tears into that fucking list and ill be damned if some motherfuckin soccer hooligan is gonna rape my picks.

seriously though, you defeat the whole purpose of the game if you get to see everyone elses lists first. you can claim you didnt look at em, whatever, amazingly enough both of you guys picked up elizabeth edwards after ship's list was posted, and no one else had her. thats just one example i can remember because your lists are deleted now. and yes, it does hurt our list because now we're not the only list with her on it. those are bonus points.
if you're gonna let people come in late after lists have already been made public, you should let everyone go back and edit their lists. that's the only fair way. since all the cards are out on the table now...
