If you play blackjack and are tired of losing money, read this thread.
Note that the information here will not automatically make you a winning blackjack player. Note that showing a profit in blackjack can sometimes take a long time, as the edge is small and the variance is high. However, you can greatly improve your odds in blackjack by just taking a small amount of time to learn t...

Degenerates,
This is the one small place on the site for serious poker discussion. As much as I hate censorship, I am going to have to ask that everyone refrain from insulting the posters over here.
If you want to attack people, the "Shooting Off" forum is certainly the place to do it. There is very little serious poker discussion on this site as it is, so let's not rui...

Was just playing some guy in 2-4 heads up, I busted him but still ended up losing money (lost 6 cents lol). I looked at the difference between cake and full tilt heads up rake. They are both 5% with $.50 max rake. The difference is cake rake is $.05 per $1 in the pot, and ftp is $.50 once the pot reaches $10. So on ftp there is no rake unless the pot reaches $10. On c...

Up until now i've only played NLHE tourneys with buyins from $5 to $20, i've been fairly succesful with a ROI of 90% (over around 300 tournaments),
however because of college etc. i dont have the time to play for 5+hours evrynight, ive decided to try and start playing cash games as they are obv more flexible timewise.

I'm wondering when you're playing heads up against an aggressive maniac, whether or not to start raising with hands not so premium...
such as hands like A6 and below, and making Ahi calls on paired boards like T33, etc.
Are these marginal situations that you have to kinda feel? Or is there some sort of systematic play you can profit from....

Say you call off 40% of your stack, as a 75% favorite everytime preflop, other player open shoved, and everyone else folds. On AVERAGE how many of these hands before your broke? Basically, trying to mathamatically prove calling huge preflop bets w/ak off is a very bad idea. I know that it is, but I don't know how to do the math to prove it.
Edit: I guess I am trying to show the...

Was listening to a radio archive and heard Micon rolled them all for $1k at the Bellagio 15/30 limit game. Druff said its a great game but you gotta with stand the variance.
Can anyone offer more insight into it. You think a solid limit player can roll in and make at least $30 an hour (1 big bet) over the long term. Is it possible to pull a $100K a year from this game....

is it possible to beat this multi tabling?
Back in the day, I used to be able to fire up 6 tables of $10-20 lhe on party and crush it on a regular basis. I would just play like a robot and rake in the money. Recently I tried playing 4 of these tables at 5-10 lhe and got crushed. The game was too tough, and playing that many tables I couldn't really make any reads on the players. I'll admit LHE isn't my specialty, but I sti...

And its use in tournaments
Ok.. Ive never been much of a tournament guy, but Im going to play a few over the next few days cuz im bored and have time. So we all know that "M" is your stack divided by the total of the blinds or (M=Stack/SB+BB). What are you supposed to do with it though? 5400 FPP turbo SNGs with top four getting sunday million seats. I've probably played 10 now and bubbled one or MAYBE two. I think any good player should get a seat at least 50% of the time. I've been on a tear recently playing 6 Max although I do think I have one major leak that needs fixing. When HU and you are in the SB, what should you do with Ax unsuited, high suited connectors (10 9 or 9 8 suited), pairs, etc. I've tried a variety of things, raising with them, limping with them and then usually calling a raise out of position, limp reraising with them or a combination...

So we all hear about poker bankrolls, but what about blackjack bankrolls for counters? Given that your edge is only small even if you are a succesful counter, how many bets should you have in your bankroll. Perhaps that isnt the best way to phrase the question given that your bet sizes wont be the same all the time, so exactly how do you calculate a blackjack bankroll?...
