Title: It's a bird! It's a plane! It's a flying Corona!
Log:
An unlucky player in seat 9 at table 83 just got a very big surprise. While sitting at his table peacefully, the player in seat 9 just had an entire tray of drinks dumped on his head when a cocktail waiter tripped and lost his balance. There were approximately 4 opened Corona's, three Cokes and numerous other drinks t...

Title: Mouth Breaks the Silence
Log: "Floor on 127!" are the first words audible today, over the sounds of the clicking chips. Tournament Directors are called to the very table at which Mike Matusow sits, where he's being accused by a dealer of throwing cards. He's immediately assigned a ten minute penalty, but he adamantly and politely defends hims...

Just about everyone here is rooting for the local yokles Dan Druff and Neverwin. That would be great if they both made the final table.
But, who else are you rooting for?
Me, I want Dan Harrington to make another final table. The guy isn't flashy or cocky like those Estafandiari or Arieh fags. He plays good poker and makes smart decisions, knowing exactly when he can u...

After you finish first and third in your first two WSOP tournaments, what's left to be done?
Finish second, of course.
Druff sets his sights on becoming the WSOP Main Event's next David Williams as he starts play Saturday at 11am.
No longer an unknown, no longer bracelet-challenged, and no longer a one-hit-final-table wonder, expectations around him are much...

Just one of MANY hands that they report incorrectly.
Brief Coma After a New Life
Andy Bellan, author of Poker Nation, goes all-in preflop with A-Q and is called by 5-5. When the board comes 9-7-9-9-2, the pocket 5's are counterfeited, and out of genuine distaste for the beat he board put on his opponent he says "Unf____ing believeable!" The pocket 5's are eliminated...

As the second flight of the $10,000 buy-in No-Limit Hold'em championship was getting underway, a player was overheard asking, "Is this limit (hold'em)?" No, sir. We'll see if he's still confused if he flops the nuts. ...

I've come to the realization tonight that I need some sort of gun in my house. I'm about to go to bed about an hour and a half ago and I go to my living room to record my poker winnings for tonight. It was about 2:45 AM and I glance at my GT machine and then look outside my side windows. To my shock, I see a man walking in my yard coming from the side of my car. He's walking pretty fast and then l...

This tournament has just had two simultaneous, brilliant examples of why you see players putting chips and various other objects on top of their hole cards. It's not just for show.
Instance #1 - With the board showing A-J-8-J-2 a player with a made full house (8-8 in his hand) decides to posture for a bit. He stands up, and acts as if he's got a difficult decision to make. Finally...

I had this argument with a couple friends during a recent home game: They were telling me Poker is a sport and should be added to the Olympics. First off, Poker is not a sport. I'm sorry, but not matter how much air-time Poker gets on ESPN, it is still gambling. Adding poker to the Olympics would be a joke and disrespectful to what the Olympics stand for. Could you imagine Thunder Keller, Eskim...

From cardplayer
John Gale raised, and Shannon Elizabeth moved all in over the top. Gale went into the tank and was contemplating a call when Elizabeth attempted to talk him out of a call with the following speech, "You could let me live till tomorrow. After all, I'm new, and you're amazing at this..." Elizabeth continued to butter Gale up, and eventually Gale decided to muck his hand....

Poker really needs the rules to be more clear, There needs to be some kind of rule making body. Example... when I played live poker the other day there was no blind you needed to post to join the game. You can just join it. Also one of the guys only wanted to show one of his cards on the showdown. I thoght this was ok but guess not as the dealer told him he needed to show both of his cards,...
