We will use a $530 satillite at the rio as an example. In this event, 10 players play a single table tourney, and first place gets 10 $500 wsop chips. Usually the final 2 or 3 or whatever end up chopping. Before the thing starts often times most of the players do a last longer bet for $100 or $200. My question is, would it be -EV to join the last longer bet? My reason for thinking it might be is that you could be put in spots where one move would be correct for the satillite, but it would be incorrect for the last longer bet. Am I crazy or does this make sense? Could the last longer bet put the players not involved in the last longer at an advantage in the satillite because they are playing 100% to win the satillite, and arent worrying about last longers? Hmmm......

I always do the last longers. There's a good chance that you are the best player at the table and if thats the case then why not?

But you shouldn't let the last longer affect your play since the prize for the SAT is lot bigger than the last longer.

Yah macon, you are probably right. Especially if you get a few awful players in the LL. Then you can just chop the donks money later on alot of the time.

China, heres the link to the structures and shit. Seemed like most of the sattis were around the $230 range, but i could be wrong. http://www.parttimepoker.com/wsop-live-sat...able-satellites

$125's $1200 payed out i think (two 500 tourney entry chips and some cash)

$175's 3 TEC's and like a hundo or something

$235 2 winners $1000 in TEC's and some cash

$275 5 TEC's

$325 6 tec's and cash

$500 10 tec's

$1000 20 tec's

etc

all 10 handed except they run some stud and razz shits the day before of those kinds of events.
