Druff quick question. Off the top of your head, rough estimate if you can. * Single deck * 1 on 1 with dealer * 1/4 to 1/2 penetration * - - -- how often do you think the count will reach +5 or higher per hour?

I have no idea how many times per hour..

And I assume you mean the running count, not the true count.

Anyway, it won't happen really often, but it also won't be a fluke if it happens.

The problem with single deck is that they are always in a panic about counters, and they will either shuffle up or kick you out if you pattern your bets like a card counter.

You're better off with double deck.

Ok, What if I'm not really fluctuating my blackjack bet, but I'm playing the awful side bets they offer, like the royal match bet for instance... will they kick you out for playing that bet randomly? Or do they not care too much about that since its such a bad bad bet no matter what.

Also, is there such a thing as a black jack hand generator?

I'm taking your advice on learning to count. I have a lot of free time on my hands so I've been 'practicing'. Why would someone not want to sway odds into your favor. I will be practicing in Wendover NV. They are lax there and offer games you suggest that are required to beat it. Plus they have some lower limits, like $5 tables everywhere that i can start on if im not comfortable. 100 mile drive from SLC but its not bad.

no, online blackjack is usually a 6 deck game with a reshuffle after every hand (that is, a lot like playing against a continuous shuffle machine in a casino), the house always has an edge that can not be overcome in the long run...

with frequent player and signup bonuses it was possible to beat the online casinos a few years ago if you were clever about playing the bonuses and could work multiple sites, but i don't know if those conditions still exist...around 2005 Arnold Snyder wrote a short book on how to play the bonuses to beat online casinos, but with the closing of the US market to online casinos in 2007, i don't know if those conditions still exist for non-US players...his system was to sign up for bonuses at various sites, and to hit and run the bonuses....you could expect to bust out on a few sites, but win enough on others to make up for the losers, and once the bonus was secured to cash out because without the bonus, the games are -ev

for an idea of current conditions online for bonus, and the hit and run style, try looking through Arnold's site, blackjackforumonline.com, and maybe posting your question there.

you are lucky, Wendover has about the best games anywhere for single and double deck....for single deck you ought to add a few more indices, particularly composition dependant ones (for example, a 16 v 10 if you sixteen is 10 & 6 is +4TC with Hi Lo, and 9 & 7 it is 0, but in a double deck or shoe games composition dependant indices don't matter, and an index of 0 is good for both kinds of 16 v 10)
