Listened to NWP radio and Druff you mentioned you heebed up $500 to $200k on cake. Could you please go into more detail about this?
a) How long did it take?
b)What limits were you playing when you had $500? at $1000? at $10,000? at $100,000? basically when did you move up levels.
c)Was it Limit, or NL - I know you are a limit player, but I think you mentioned b4 that you played NL on Cake
d)Were you multi tabling - if so how many tables?
as much detail as possible plz....
TY
It took about two months. It wasn't just on Cake, either. I also ran up some on Stars, with money I traded with the Cake $ I ran up, so I considered it the same run-up. I was donkdown on Stars at the time, and I was literally down to around $575 at $100/$200 (limit) on Cake.
Keep in mind that my actual BANKROLL was nowhere near donkdown, but my online bankroll was.
The most interesting part of this whole thing was a fold I made that probably changed everything.
I had hit my epassporte deposit limit for the day, so I couldn't play anymore that night if I busted.
I was dealt 7s8s on the button. The cutoff raised. I considered flatting (no point to 3-bet, because I didn't want to run out an all-in with 8-high if I totally missed) and putting it in if I hit any piece of the flop. Instead, I folded. The BB repopped it. The flop came like 9Tx, so I obviously would have put in the rest of my money. I would have missed and lost to QQ.
Instead, I was dealt QQ myself the next hand, and tripled up. Then I got JJ the hand after that, won a big pot, and doubled from there. By the time I quit that night, I was at $13k or so, and was happy with the way things ended. That started a nice 2-month winning streak where I had 200k online by the time it was all done, without ever redepositing anywhere.
I don't remember if any of it was at NL on Cake. If it was, it wasn't a significant amount.
