i agree 100% with Epistate. short handed LHE is unbeatable without relentless aggression. a lot of that is based in standard hand equity math but also ever since some of the high limit specialists started to wax poetic about river aggression, its become something of a theme song for online games. rakeback doesnt come close to offsetting losses if youre not the guy like, 4 barrelling queen high at the right time to fold out middle pair in a lot of those game. failure to play like a maniac = you get bled, really really badly. 100% rakeback will not cover the cost of doing business like that.
rakeshare is a bit better if you want to nit it up. rakeshare is where you get a cut of the rake from every pot you get dealt a hand before.
so if youre in a 10 person game and fold the button preflop, but two other players get into a big pot and $3 rake gets taken out, you get paid $.30.
if youre in a six person, fold preflop, and $3 rake gets taken out of the pot, you gets like $.50.
harder to find rakeshare sites today but they are out there.
Completely dissagree. You can make money playing all sorts of styles at the lower limits. Not just being overly agressive. You just need to adjust to every table cause there are all different sorts of players at these limit. There are some pros, donks, and average players. This limit particular you will run in to probably the biggest variation of playing styles. The key is to adjust toi these styles accordingly and be prepared to ride out slumps cause sometimes things just dont go right and you could go on a 3 month losing streak
