Brandi Hawbaker Confirmed Dead @ 26

It is with great sadness that I write this story. Brandi Hawbaker to some, Naami Dea to others, took her own life on Sunday. This news has been confirmed through Brandon and Brandi's family. Brandon, Brandi's family, and friends have asked the poker world to respect their privacy while they grieve. When the time is right we will have Brandon's statement on NWP. This truly is a tragedy, as the whole poker world loved to watch this eccentric young lady on and off the felt. Brandi will be missed and I hope she has found some peace.

sad,never nice when someone dies.not knowing the girl at all. she was very pretty and no matter what she done death seems abit harsh.sort of makes you relize that the bullshit you go through day to day means fuk all in the long as long as your true to your self and she sounds like she was.kia kaha brandi.remorse for family and friends

Very sad. I wish her emptiness could have been fulfilled on Earth. In retrospect someone who seemed to be shallow
may have sparked some sort of Koan of thought. In the end her existence seems to have a really deep meaning as if the Sklansky/Tom scandals were a parody of Vegas played out by god.

I'm still in shock about this news. I couldn't believe it when Todd Brunson asked if I had heard yesterday, what with all the crazy NWP shinanigans. A serious reminder of how precious life is, not to be waisted on pettiness but spent love and kindess.

I run NWP. That means that when Brandi does something crazy we report on it - it is who we are. She did some bad stuff, we all watched. She did some crazy stuff, we all watched. She died, we all watch.... She is our Marylin Monroe. It is such a tragedy that she actually killed herself. I always kinda rooted for her... I thought a site would take a shot at her for a sponsorship or something. Also Brandon is a good friend of mine and he loved her very much.... it is very hard on him right now. So yah, I'm pretty sad about this.

Micon, just curios why do you write this with great sadness. You ran that crazy chick through the coals with all the you tube videos, ebay auctions, and forum schenanigans. Seems a bit hypocritical. No? Ah well, RIP.

I call schenanigans on the story. I bet she wanted to get out of the "spotlight" and is holed up in Europe somewhere. Didn't she travel the world? Yah, I call BS. The Great Sadness gives it away.
