Should Jewdonk get paid or GTFO?

This thread is so ironic on so many levels, however it does raise some very valid points as well, and most shockingly made me think about the entire history of NWP and how it developed into what it is today (even in this thread a lot of history has been displayed). Lets first start with the irony. Any time there is a major change here everyone jumps on the bandwagon of " the site is going to burn down". Examples off the top of my head, just a few of many... 1. Pokernews buying the site 2. Changing the software to NWP 2.0 3. Forum Split 4. Any type of new rule, cencorship for black cock, banning, minimizing post count ect 5. Anytime a well known big contributing member leaves or threatens to leave (wrenchjockey, fckvwls, and now the latest Jewdy (which I would like to talk about in more detail on what I personally think) Back when Micon and I originally started this site most everyone here already knows this story so I won't bother to be too redudant. So I called Micon up asking him to make a railbird fan site. We agreed to be 50-50 partners. Within the first month Dan Druff appeared on here ironically just to bash me and let me know that I suck at poker and will be selling my mercedes within less than 6 months (I still own that car by the way). Micon continues to tell everyone how this site is going to blow up huge (more irony with that make ur own movie thing in this thread with hilarious comedy, Micon saying to Martha next, next, next, next) props to whoever made that. Fast Forward to 2007 when rumors broke out of a possible sale of NWP. Once again people laughed and thought this site was a worthless piece of shit. Cmoney made some dumb offer of about 2k, and the rest of the people laughing at any notion that anyone would make a decent offer for this "shithole". Again when rumors broke out of an offer in the 7 figure range, the nwp community either thought that was complete bullshit or whoever was buying it was a complete moron (again more irony) as this thread speakes for itself. Now with rumors of making 25k a month, a sudden outrage of how revenue should be split, who is entitled? God bless the NWP community. 25k a month? Are you fucking kidding me? Good lord, Pokernews (Tony G) and the other overlords, they all look like complete geniuses if true, anyone still think they made a bad deal? Back to the subject on hand... Should Jewdonk get paid for his contributions? Well if you would have asked me that question a few years ago I would have laughed and thought that would be one of the most ludicrous things to ever do. Pay someone that happens to add value with his own contributions to my site, when that is what the site is intended for anyway. Are you out of your fucking mind? Does that make any sense? It sounds laughable. But in reality from a business standpoint sometimes exceptions come along, most significantly our very own and beloved Dan Druff! Now while Dan Druff is a prime example, I am in no way implying or comparing one to another in this situation. I am simply making a point of the obvious... that people who contribute, although it may be in many different ways, shapes, and forms, I cannot deny the simple fact that they do add value, and hence potential profit to a site like this. When Micon and I were negotiating a deal with pokernews they wanted to add in Dan Druff into part of the deal. (Now lets not forget why Dan Druff came to this site... for his own entertainment and to needle one of its owners, myself in one of his very first posts, yet once again another irony of this site, thread, ect, and one similiarity to Jewdonk). This site was owned by Micon and I, that is it, why the fuck should anyone else get a piece? It was my idea, Micon did all the work to start this up, and people came here for entertainment. We got lucky and poker blew up about the same time we started. For obvious reasons we did not know how to take full advantage of this site financially, however, despite that fact, NWP continued to grow. Fast forward a few more years... I was long time freinds with Noah "Exclusive" Boeken and he put me in contact with Tony G. Since Micon and I owned the site, the negotiations were done by basically just the three of us, and thats it. Without going into the details of the negotiations about the numbers, lets just step back for a second and consider the circumstances. In the midst of a big negotiaion what is everyone's biggest concern? Themselves of course. When blindsighted by your own personal interests sometimes that can lead to decisions that may not benefit you the most in the long run. Of course it also depends on the dynamics of your business. In the short run however, it may give you the most profits but in the long run that may not always be the case. It is very easy to look at it like this...would you rather have 50 percent of nothing or 10 percent of 100k. Another example how about 20 percent of 50k a month, or 5 percent of 300k a month. Obviuosly im just throwing out numbers but it doesnt take a genius to get my point. So let me just sum this up, remember to always think about the future and the bigger picture instead of how much you can make right now, this very moment. Only in hindsight is it much easier to see your mistakes and admit your faults. The old saying "With age and experience you gain wisdom" Thats part of life, nobody is perfect, the key is to learn from those mistakes and not make the same ones, one of the great traits of successful people. After the merge with Pokernews, it's no secret Dan Druff ended up with a small piece of NWP when before he had 0 ownership. When businesses grow, you are forced to make decision after to decision to adapt to change. Sometimes you have to make quick decisions, sometimes you make BAD DECIONS AND SHIT THE BED, sometimes you make good ones, it's just the nature of business. Pokernews had the foresight for NWP's growth and they also new Dan Druff was one of those missing pieces. Unfortunately (again with no blame to any one particular person), I will admit he did get shortchanged in the whole deal in terms of his actual value to this site. He truly does love NWP and I would like to persoanlly thank him for everything he has done. I would also like to personally thank Micon for putting all his heart and soul into NWP as well. I can also make another long list of names of people who I can personally thank as well who have made NWP what it is today, but I am not trying to sound like I just got nominated for a fuckin Oscar or Grammy award, or I would be thanking god and jesus as well for giving me life on earth. So I will finally make my fuckin point already....and that is when you are dividing up pieces there is only so much to go around, and how are you so suppose to put a numeric value on each indivdual person? If I didnt come up with the idea to make NWP in the first place it would not exist. If I hadn't gone to college and met Micon I would have payed some computer geek and this site would have been long run into the ground. If jennicide remembered to delete her soft porn lingerie pics who would have found us. Should we send Gavin Griffin some money for his penis? Jewdonk I am not some pussy who can dish it out but can't take it. So I said something on radio and laughed about you grinding the 1-3 nl big fuckin deal, I hope you crush it, then move to the 2-5nl, then 5-10nl, i hope you heeb it the fuck up. Your little movie about trashtalking me was comedy gold, I was laughing my ass off. When you were being staked by the secret pro I came into the thread to help give you some advice, and even u said it was some of the best advice you received. I know you enjoy entertaining people, and if ur not entertaining other people, u can give a flying fuck because you are living life the way you want to fuckin live it, and you can give two flying fucks about what anyone thinks or says about you. You do what Jewdonk wants to do and that's all that matters. Do I think you add mad value and comedy to this site, ur damn right I do. How much is that worth, I dont have a fucking clue.
